I have seen both race and I have seen both be pretty durable, just general racing breakage mostly the fault of the builder/driver. The TNX is a bit smaller and more agile and more of a racer than the GT. The GT is bigger and has a bigger engine.

As far as mounting a gasoline engine on it neither is very well suited for it. The GT has the larger engine of the two but the smallest gasoline engine that I have ever seen is still 10x bigger than the GT engine.

If you want something with a gasoline engine you are going to have to go to 1/5th scale unless you want to do alot of custom work. This type of work takes a lot of skill and knowlege as well as time (hundreds of hours). Judging from all the questions I have seen you asking I wouldn't even think about attempt it.

While you can put a gasoline engine on either one of these trucks with enough time and money it would be just to darn top heavy to be any fun to drive it in anything but a straight line cause it will tip over like a Mexican moving van.
