pmsimkins 07-11-2005, 08:27 PM It'd be cool if some of you Iowa BL guys would come up for these. I don't know your schedule down there but Hopefully some of you can make it. I know a few of us are planning to come down for your Labor Day weekend race.
TeamGoodwrench 07-11-2005, 09:56 PM Murphy and I are going to run the August JW race at Tri-Clone.
Hope to see some of the Tri-Clone crew at Marshalltown sometime too.
Bob Wright 07-11-2005, 11:09 PM How far is Marshalltown from Cedar Rapids?
I'm plannng on going to Storm Steel on July 31st.I'm hoping to convince some of the other Triclone regulars to go too.
Hope to see a good turn out for the Jim Wick races,it's a great way to remember Jim.

Marshalltown is about an hour and a half from Cedar Rapids.
It's an awesome concrete oval -- just a great track to run.
philb1 07-12-2005, 01:21 PM If I'm not actually from Iowa can I still race? Should be a good time, see ya there!
pmsimkins 07-12-2005, 01:50 PM My bad Phil. I can imagine that nobody who isn't from Iowa wants to be refered to as an Iowan! :)
I hope those who often race in Iowa can come lol.
Danny B 07-12-2005, 08:40 PM I'll be there to run 19t. Sorry Pat, i'm not fast enough in BL Phil and AJ keep kicking my ascot.

pmsimkins 07-13-2005, 06:26 PM Corey,
Are you going to run BL again as a second class? We need a rematch. That was fun racing at the Firecracker!
Bob Wright 07-13-2005, 07:38 PM Pat you up for some 5800 action this Saturday?
pmsimkins 07-13-2005, 08:38 PM Probably not. When I was playing with testing the rotors at work I screwed up 2 of them so I don't really have a rotor for my 5800 motor.
Testing rotors at work?? What kind of Gravy job do you have??!!
Are you working for Team "Ass"ociated??

Bob Wright 07-19-2005, 07:18 AM burbs call me @ 920-207-2342 after 5 pm.
Sorry, Due to work load I can not make the race this weekend. This is what happend when engineers keep work on there desk instead of handing it to peopel who actually get it done
And I thought I was the only person that has to clean up the messes people "forget" about, or "squirrel away" for another day but forget they have to get it done!!!
I recall a program on Discovery Channel about Lincolon that also suspected he was GAY!!
burbs 07-19-2005, 04:26 PM Sorry, Due to work load I can not make the race this weekend. This is what happend when engineers keep work on there desk instead of handing it to peopel who actually get it done
we race witha pair of engineers.. Maybe they can help you on your situation LOL//// J/K simkins
HA! Good one Burbs!
Engineer's.... Who needs them anyway?? If we didn't have them, the rest of us wouldn't have to bust our a$$es for a measly wage cleaning up their messes while they soak up the big-bucks to fart-around all day!!
Ask an Engineer if it's warm outside, and he'll have to go look at a thermometer to tell you if it's warm or cool!

philb1 07-25-2005, 06:34 AM A BIG Thanks to the Reeling family!
Thanks to Craig Vandenberg for letting me help break in his tires
Thanks to all the West Bend staff and racers for a good time
Thanks to Jim for a little rain,a little sunshine and great racing
haysreeling 07-25-2005, 06:15 PM Thanks for coming Phil, we were glad to have you. Also big thanks to Danny B, Andy & Kevin K, Murdocks, and Murph for making the drive up.
Results from what I can remember......
Bruce Gayhart TQ'd stock with a 34/4:02, Ken Pepe 34/4:03 2nd, Hays Sr34/404 3rd, Grif 4th.
In the main it was all Mr Gayhart winning it with Kenny coming in 2nd, and Craig V coming in 3rd. Nice run craig.
Corey Heft TQ'd brushless, Pat Simkins 2nd, Bob Wright 3rd.
Corey fighting an ill handling car still managed to take home the win, with Hays Sr coming in 2nd, and Bob Wright 3rd. Phil B was 4th, Pat spun a few times and couldn't get going again. Murph managed to dodge some wrecks and traffic and won the B main, after holding off Dick Hooper in the early parts of the race.
Corey Heft TQ'd 19-Turn with a 40/4:00, awesome run considering nobodys car was quite right after the rain delay. Hays Jr 40/4:02, Sully 39/4:02, Kevin Koback who was having speed control problems only managed to finish 1 run but had a fast car ran a 39/4:03, Danny B ran a 39/4:04, Rob Murdock also ran 39 laps.
Main results:
Hays Jr
Rob Murdock..... nice run in the main Rob!
Kevin Koback
Sully
Danny B
Corey Heft
Corey had the lead for about 2 1/2 mins but spun handing over the victory. Kevin also had a good car in the main but spun out of turn 1.
Hope to see everyone for the 2nd Jim Wick race Aug. 22
Thanks to everyone who traveled and to Dave J.
Hays Jr
Bob Wright 07-25-2005, 06:53 PM I believe that Phil finished 3rd in Brushless. My car was good for the main just didn't have the diff tight enough on the start.
Congrats to all the winners. And a big thanks to all the crew at the Triclone, the Daves,Bob and Dennis for another great day at the races.
Hope to see everyone back for the second race. And A few more too.
Anyone with any extra "pit equiptment" please see Grif.
MURDOCKRC 07-25-2005, 09:09 PM We had a great time at triclone once again guys. Very well run program and some great racing with a good group of guys. Thanks for the back pat Hays. I just about done myself in at the start. I hadnt spun the car in two days at the start and you would know that I would do it in the main in corner one. Oh well, I guess I got it out of the way early and slipped around everyone. Great run JR. See you next time
Rob
