On the new johnny lightning Back to the Future release? anyone hear anything yet?

He's selling them on e-pay. There are two different sellers listing them.

It seems that there are only 2 cars out of the six that are actually BFF cars, the Deloreon & the Ford. Kind of a bummer, I thought that there were a few more.

The "BTTF Release" consists of the 2 cars that have the BTTF theme and packaging. The rest of the cars are not part of the BTTF Release, they are just sharing the same shipping container on their way to hobby stores to be sold individually. The shipping container packaging (12 slot cardboard box) is not targeted for end consumers even though us diehards tend to buy them that way from distributors and online sellers.

The BTTF Release would have been a good one to put in a 2-car blister pack like the other slot car manufacturers do for their 2-car theme packaging.

Hey, I'm just glad to see they are in stock and ready to ship. I can't wait to get the time machine on a hot G3 chassis and see if I can send it back to 1955.

We will have some in stock today. $9.50 each. We have some reserved already, but will have the rest up when they come in this afternoon. And we would be happy to special order sets in for you.

That's different. But here's the lemonade part...

I already have a few white XT cases and white wheeled XT chassis..., so in essence every car in this upcoming release is potentially a white thunder! Yes. A little chassis swapping, a little re-casing, twisty wire twisting, and ... wa-la, the white thunderizing process is complete! Hello E-Bay!

So the real question is, which white thunders will produce the biggest E-Bay bidding war? Maybe a Delorean time travel car white thunder? Or maybe a 46 Ford white thunder, or how about this... strip the paint off of the Buick, repaint it primer gray, glue the rear bumper on it upside down, and write some numbers on it with a Sharpie, mount it on the thunderizer white wheel chassis, and then sell it on E-Bay as a one of a kind "factory prototype assembly line screw-up white thunder" on E-Bay. Throw in a phony Hong Kong mailing address and sit back and watch the bids come rolling in. Cha ching!
