Running gas years ago we would use a balloon for a cover to keep the fuel out of the receiver. I'm gathering the stuff to build a car to try out this .09 class. Does anyone make a case or box? Or, is the balloon still the best option?
Thanks,
Mitch

Mitch, I feel foolish here LOL. Yes they make a receiver case and yes I have one but I can't remember who made it LOL. I can tell you that it's "blue" if that helps LOL.
Another neat item is the Venom Smart Temp device. It's a digital read out that I mounted on top of the "un-named" receiver box and it gives you head temp and receiver pace voltage along with a fail safe. No need for a high dollar temp gun, just look through the windshield!
BTW where are you going to be racing? We would love to have you at Cooper's

There is a 09 class taking off at C&W in Asheville, NC and at Fox Mt. in Columbus, NC. They seem to be having fun. They had a big gas race at C&W a couple of weeks ago, another is planned for Columbus. I'll sure try the temp and voltage meter if the car isn't so heavy I can't.
Thanks,
Mitch

That's the one. There is a picture of it on my car in the "Looking for Advice" thread. The Venom Smart Temp is on top of it too...............very light.

Thanks to all. I ordered a RPM and a Associated to see which one fits better.
Thanks again,
Mitch
