This is an awesome track. Nothing like the speed of a high banked concrete tri-oval. If you need any help let me know. I will do my best.

What is the baseline T-bar and tire set-up for Trax 70? Planning on making it down for testing the week before.

Thanks,

Scott,
I can tell you what setup I run, which varies from others...
Right now I am running Green Pro lite L on the left side w/ a narrow LR and Blue Net S right sides (wide RR)
I am running a Purple on the RF & LF spring... (some guys run black springs)
I'm running an HPI shock spring (blue) not sure of the rate...fairly stiff
50 wt center shock #2 piston I believe,
35wt side shocks bronze springs
ORC stiff spring steel t-plate
I am currently running a hyperdrive with an offset pod but am going to try to run straight up...
Currently I run a wing on the body, some are running it mounted on the pod.
and run quite a bit of ride height... left side tends to drag if you run too low ...
hope this helps...

Will 3800's legal for 19t for the Heintz race? Also from the website I am unclear what day the weekly racing is. Do you run Saturdays or Sundays. Its a long trip from CT to show up for no racing.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Lawman

don't you know, opinions were voiced to run on Sundays so now they swap back and fourth between Saturday and Sunday. 3 people showed up on 2nd. of July and 5 showed up on the 10th of July. Awesome track , "NO SUPPORT" :hat:

but for real why such a bad turn out?

abdule

drive them away............Al Spina, Everett Lane, and myself that's the only track that we want to race at! They tried that back and fourth thing last year, very little success. I don't know what Charlie has to do to try to get racers to run there and it is a shame, 'cause there's nothing like racing on "THE WHITE MONSTER" I think that we have only missed 2 or 3 races there and that's 'cause of the ORL. The locals that should support the track, were are they? when I said "no support", that's what I ment! In order for a track to make it, there has to be more than 3 racers one week and 5 the next or we will give up another great place to Race. :hat: (that's about 170 mile round trip for me and I would make every weekend to make this track survive)

This is Walter "live" from downstairs at Ozzie's house. I should more than likely be there this weekend, I'm here getting this weeks secrets from the Ozz man himself. Hopefully should have my car figured out this weekend unlike the ORL race.

I just want to let everyone know that the track will be open from 1pm until 6pm-ish tomorrow for practice. Depending on the weather it might be longer or shorter I can't really say so 6pm is tenitive because they are calling for a chance of late day t-storms. This will be just an open practice (no lap counter). As for Saturday I will have the track open by 7:00 AM for all you early birds. Sign-ups will start at 9:30am and end at 11:00am PROMPT. I will call the heats at 11:20 and the drivers meeting will follow. Racing will begin at high noon. The format will be, 1st and 2nd round will run straight through a 30 min. break between the 2nd and 3rd with a re-shuffle for the 3rd round. A 30 min. break between the 3rd and the main. Remember, this is a memorial race for Paul Heitz, yes there are trophies, but no points or championships to be won here so lets have some fun and tell some GFY stories.

Dave, it's sad how the updates for the Offroad race make it to the website before the Oval race did? What's the hold up?

Goodwrench29
08-08-2005, 08:23 PM
Walter, we had to use Dave's personal laptop for the race and he's waiting for Jlap to email him the password to upload the results. On top of working yesterday and working on a 12 plus hour day today. I know this because I just spoke to him at work.

DC71
08-08-2005, 10:45 PM
Thanks for the kind words Walter... I think if Paul were here to read that he would say "GFY" ;-)

As Charlie said, upon him calling me saturday morning and telling me the laptop crashed and he was unable to get the laptop the offroad guys use, I spent the morning on the phone with Jlap trying to get it downloaded and installed in my own laptop only to have more problems with it once I got to the track, and more time on the phone with Jlap. once we got it straight we only had a couple hiccups through the day with it... It was a rough one. we even contemplated postponing the race at one point. Luckily we persisted and got it done!

I got home about 10 tonight to get the correct info from Jlap to upload the results.

I really want to thank everyone that made it out for your patience and all the companies that supported the event with their donations as well
And I also want to thank Patrick and Charlie for not giving up on this season.

Congratulations to Walter Stuber on his TQ and Joe Bivona for nailing down an overdue Victory in stock as well as Barry Braman on his TQ and win in 19 turn!

Just was a long frustrating day for me... Couldn't race if I tried with all the trouble we had.
