Just wanted to mention the past 2 years we have had about 55-60 cars for this race with some of the biggest names in oval, so definately mark this one down and make it an even bigger event this year !!!

Another nice thing about this race is we will run 4-cell Mod which is hard to come by in the summer months. See if anyone can come over and knock Ziggy's track record from last year (52 laps) off the board.

It's nice to see the new guys, Brandon, et al, who have been running each week. Will be cool to show them a big race atmosphere. They like to trash talk so we'll see who takes the Busch class at the Fall Classic.

Doug P

Doug,
Are you talking this weekend as in 7/23 or the Fall Classic race?

Weekly racing--
Everybody pretty much runs stock to make one bigger class unless some mod guys travel in then Liehr's, Marsilio, Peachock usually run mod.

Fall Classic--
We started this race 2 years ago.
Typical turnout has been 35+ Stock, 10+ 19T's and about 15+ Mods.
Real good competition for sure. Its worth the drive over.
Ask Beach, him and Verbonitz come every year and run really well.

Classes scheduled to run (Minimum of 6 cars in a class to run)
Busch - 3300mah limit
Stock - 3300mah limit
19T - 3800mah limit
Mod - 3800 limit
Min weight for all classes with transponder - 39.8oz
Min Height 4 1/4"

~Jake Feskanin~

Jake,
I think the Busch guys are running about 36-39.
For summer in the Busch class you can run a wing and cut the back of the body out. It's tough to get em hooked up if you dont run a wing. I assume for the big race you will be allowed to run a wing and cut the body out as well.
We have some news guys running this year so for the big race they will have a class to run and wont have to battle the 4 cell stock guys. Will make for more competitive racing.
If you need anything let me know.

eric,
sounds like they are doing pretty good. i would like to run but the race but i dont know if that will happen. if we are allowed to run wings what would you suggest that i should run. thanks for the help.

Eric,

I know the stock guys run 40-41 laps and turn 5.5 up front and 6.0 at the end. Mod last year ran I believe 51 flat to 52 4:04 and we ran 4.7 up front and 5.2 at the end Im pretty sure?

Hope to see a big turn out! Who else is gonna run this weekend. I have to go to a wedding but I will return next week!

Doug, send me a set-up sheet for your recent visit there. I am curious to see how close I might be?

Good run there, missed you today at the Mill, you might have missed an historic event! Besides I was the first CW car. Jake was close. Finished 3rd to Alan, and Wilhelm was second.

Catch you later

Danny
The last 2 years it was Open Friday for this race. With Walt's Health lately I am not sure what his schedule is going to be. I will try to find out for sure and post back. I have a feeling Eddie Ellis (Walt's son) will play a bigger role in this one to help his dad out.
