Hello-

Question—Was this the day I’m supposed to drink my tea with “harbor water”?

OK, inquiring minds want to know (by the indication on chat), about an ole’ Bowtie I acquired.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

To keep this thread in context with the forum, I’ve included some pics of some slot-stuff bounty that came with the purchase of a commercial lawn tractor, and a 2-seat go-kart for the girls, and a toy for myself.

The slot-stuff is posted first, so anyone who is not interested in the rest, can view it and do the back-button dance, without “wading”.

This is just how it came, along with a pit-kit and some cars/spares. I noticed it whilst in the shed with the tractor, and the Gent threw it in.

It looks to be complete, including some acc. It came with a couple of split straights and some hump or hill straights, and some nice cobblestone track. Also the wiggle and squeeze tracks, too.

The cars/spares are not too bad. The Jag’ being the worst, with the infamous “square rear-wheel wells”. The V-Dub is in great shape (besides the paint job), with just the rear bumper missing. It was originally white.

The Hot Rods are quite rare—not the cars themselves, but the fact they are almost complete w/pipes, rollbar (!), and windscreen (!). The convert is missing only the driver. The other, although painted blue, is actually dark blue underneath. A nice colour. All the rest is parts and bits which is in good shape, including the two AFX chassis. The best part and a bonus for me (because I needed one) is the spare rear wing.

Now the Chev—

As all can see, the rear ¼’s are in need of repair.

I tried catching this “Fat Rat” and cage it under the hood, but I hadn’t enough “Cheese”, so I’ll have to “body-build” the little mouse to roar.

And lastly..

My new toy!

I haven’t rode one in almost 40 years! Nothing fancy, but it makes for a quick pick-up of the post. My driveway is 1510ft. to the mailbox.

I hope viewers of all this enjoyed at least some of it.

I may be messing about with the 1/1’s, but you know I’m always on the look-out for slots!

Cheers and Good Nite…:)

Dang man, a Nova, moped, and slots....all in one whack......

The Nova is definately a GREAT project car......with rear skins it should look great!

One question on the moped........if you plan on riding that to the mailbox then what the hell do you plan to do with all of the packages???

The slots are REALLY sweet........especially the street rods and the VW! The Bug looks like a John Deere parts delivery car

Dang, Boss! Super sweet score! Seing that Nova takes me back a ways....yeah.....the Ghast twins, Constance and Cynthia....those were innocent times. (CassaNova)
The minibike looks like mine...only the 5.5 HP honda generator motor fills that big hole under the seat. (almost broke my derned neck first time I rode it too)
I wish my mailbox was at the end of the drive and I had to get the mail on the minibike. The Police do not care much for those things here in town so I let my son Ride it around his rural neighborhood.

On the slots...Do you need some square tires for that interesting Jag? I could probably carve a set up for you at no cost!
I happen to LIKE that bug in those colors. Very 70s. The hotrods are very cool too!
I had one as a kid. (tan with ALL of the removable parts REMOVED!) lol

All in all, Boss, very nice score! (if you ever get tired of that nova, I have room for it)

Nice finds Boss. A mini-bike too. Haven't seen one of those in years. The throttle cable looks a bit tight for turning left, which as far as I can tell is pretty much all they can do south of the line. :p

awesome, I always wanted a mini-bike. was there ever a manufacturer or mini-bikes or are they just home made with welders and lawnmower engines?

Growing up my parents bought my brother and I an old mini bike.....it was called a "Rupp".....powered by a Honda engine.......with a flesh toasting chrome exhaust pipe.....and a two speed transmission which was an auto....if I recall correctly.

I had a little 50cc that was way too much fun. Dads poor garden was the only ramp in the yard.... oh well - I really didn't like veggies as a child anyway. :p
