In the near future (like next Friday) TQ hobbies and focars have teamed up to provide ultra bird and stock motors for the series. this will be a long term commitment from TQ hobbies. next Friday they should have them in stock. 20.00 for stocks and 25.00 for 19 turn motors. this means I have 8 stock motors left..when there gone TQ hobbies will be the supplier for the series. if you need a 19 turn motor please contact TQ hobbies.I will bring a few of each to every race...strickland,race rock and the focar series mandate you run a purple motor. when mike runs out of them TQ will be the source.

So what is the difference? Cause for a few dollars more you can get the regular MH Motor? Just curious cause I like the Birds motors.

Same as a Monster, excpet the Birds handouts are Epoxy balanced arms. This makes tech easier cause if you see one drilled then you know it had been rebalanced or drilled out to make the arm lighter.

ROAR & Norrca do not allow Epoxy arms so watch your club rules.
The Birds motors are approved under ARCOR rules.

Norrca leaves it up to the track to decide whether you bring your own motors or have a handout. It was my understanding that Rush and Son's wanted handouts, so they got those.

But say the race would have been a Bring your own motor, according to the current rules you would not be allowed to run the Birds Handout being it's epoxy balanced. If they changed the rule I haven't read it anywhere. But you might be right, I just haven't seen the rule change.

Are the magnets on these motors zapped ? What kind of brush & spring do they come with? Thanx for the info.

Don't know about beenin zapped or not but I do know that no spring or brushes come on it

the magnets are not "zapped" they are handout motors ...... not dyno tuned.

They are excellent motors though especially for the price! My best "track" results have been with green springs + & - and Reedy 767 brushes or green Putnums.
