Hey guys, I won a couple of Ebay auctions back on June 8th from the seller "kdsretrostuff":

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5980588412&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 (http://www.qksrv.net/click-1606754-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D5980588412)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5980601075&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 (http://www.qksrv.net/click-1606754-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D5980601075)

I paid immediately with PayPal. I waited a couple of weeks for the cars to arrive....then I get this email on the 24th of June:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am contacting all customers to let them know the situation on shipping the items they purchased. About a month ago, I sold my shop and all inventory, but I had an agreement with the buyer that I would keep selling until final papers were signed. Well, when he did his last walk through several cases were missing from the inventory and I told him I had taken these cases because they were already sold, this did not go over very well with him and I decided that I would cover orders with my personal stock. This personal stock has been picked at over a few years and I do not have all items that customers ordered. I just want all customers to understand that at the time I listed these items, I did not intend for any of this to happen. Anyway, I will try to get the missing items over this next week. If I am not able to aquire these items, I will provide a Refund for Missing Items. Thank You for your Time & Have a Good Weekend!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if I follow correctly, this guy was plainly selling items that he didn't really have in his possession if he sold his shop a month ago. I've already filed a claim against this jerk thru PayPal.......and as of yet the seller has responded.
The guy had good feedback, with no negs or neutrals......which is why I bid. Now he's no longer registered with Ebay.

He's also changed his PayPal info as well because it originally listed his PayPal account as "Illinois slot shop"........now all it says is "KDS CAR & HOBBY"

His email address listed with PayPal was: kdsretrostuff@comcast.net

Now the email addy on file with PayPal is: kdscarhobby@yahoo.com

This is also the information that was contained in the original Ebay invoice for the auctions:

KD Karn
120 Laurie Ln
Oswego, IL 60543
United States
(630) 636-6096

I've sent two emails....and both have not yet been responded to.

I'm sick of assholes like this......this now makes twice that I've been burnt on Ebay......both relating to slot cars.

Someone please let me know if you are familiar with this guy.......

Sorry this happened to you, TX.....but at least you didn't have significant money on these auctions. He should let you guys know ahat he has so you can maybe get what you won. And he shouldn't have list these if his business was under this kind of duress. Hope you can get your bodies.

The bad part is I was looking forward to getting these bodies for cheap.....because I wanted to Tjet them  When I emailed him the first time on the 24th I was cordial.....and asked to see a list of what he did have in stock at that moment.......no response. My 2nd email was geared more towards refund....just to get the deal past me.....no response.

I hate making a mountain out of a mole hill.....I mean we're not even talking $10 here.......but hell, it's the principle......

I wish everyone was just honest .....being honest isn't such a bad thing....is it? :(

I never got that email but he did reply to an email I sent him saying he would send me a refund, we shall see. The thing is I live only about an hour and a half from him, so if he doesn't I will look him up for sure. People like this tick me off also, I wish I still had all my equipment from when I was a ranger with the 11th acr, I could really have some fun with him then and get everybodys $$$ back.

Did you get his new reply from today???? I got a response from his new email account that he has linked to PayPal......

Here's what I initially emailed him several days ago:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good afternoon, I won two different slot car auctions from you on Ebay back
on June 8th. I have yet to receive any response to the two emails I
originally sent to the email you had registered with Ebay and PayPal
previously. Now, as I go back to PayPal to investigate this matter further,
I see that you've changed the name of your account slightly....and the email
on file is different.

I won these two auctions from you:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5980588412&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 (http://www.qksrv.net/click-1606754-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D5980588412)

I'd like to know where the two bodies are that I won from you on Ebay. I
paid immediately via PayPal.......and I got this email that you sent me on
the 24th of June...via Ebay:

your Time & Have a Good Weekend!

I sent you two emails to the address that you originally sent this reply
from........but no one responded. I also noticed that your Ebay account is
no longer registered....yet you received no negatives for your present
actions.

All I want to do is get this matter closed, and move on. I'd appreciate a
response ASAP......

And here's his response today:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a Former Partner who was being pulled into this whole situation and I had to make some changes in order to preserve his reputation, I am in no way trying to avoid the situation. I will provide a refund within 7-10 Days and I have replied to your emails to try and let you know this, but obviously they have not gone through, I am Sorry for this. Thank You for your Patience and Have a Good Day. Keith

Funny, I get the pleasure of waiting yet another 7-10 days for him to give me a refund  So far the PayPal claim hasn't turned up a damn thing.....boy what a waste of my time that has been

Hey, this is all I got from him;

***Hello, I lost my Business a couple of weeks ago and all of my accounts are blocked and tied up right now. I do not have any these in my Personal Stock, so you will receive a Refund for this item (Please Allow 7-10 Days for me to clear things up). I am Very Sorry for the Inconvenience and I will try to get things straight as quickly as possible. Thank You for your Patience and Have a Good Evening***

It looks we got pretty much the same story, most likely with a little BS also, I'll give him a few more days then email him again, he is very lucky I am not out too much money. That address you got for him looks to be a residential address and I did a reverse lookup on that telephone number it is registered to a Debra Helton.....so we shall see, I will probably just kind of write it off, then again if he quits responding to emails and ticks me off might be time to turn it up a bit. Its already been 6 days for me, have a good one, Kevin
