TC wasn't anything big even the last two weekends that I did show up.
There were three cars enough to run a class but still didn't race.
So tring to run clean laps while you and spanky see how much air you can get between your car and the ozite isn't my idea of On-road racing.
My Tc4 doesn't feel the same with TC3 rear hubs on it. Way too loose.
Noone has any TC4 parts in yet. had to make a special order should be in this week (hopefully).

As for the 1/18th scale truck racing If TQ'ing by 5 laps and Winning by 2 laps
Makes you "The man" I wonder what I could do with a real motor in that thing?

yokman
07-03-2005, 10:45 AM
voodoo-what degree huds you trying to run? i have got 2 mini t's i could get carpet ready.and your right jumping a TC?????offroad guys, lolyou down for some oval with us?

charles-its on then fer sure.what time do they open on sun for practice????

Charles Leto
07-03-2005, 08:36 PM
in regards to rear hubs, voodoo, broke a TC4 rear hub, and replaced with 2 TC3 rear hubs i gave him, - HTU should have TC4 parts, they have the chassis braces and towers, they should have the hubs, - spanky was the genious jumping the ramp, i did hit it a couple times, then i stopped to save my car, if you come out this sat, then i will run clean with u

on a side note, its not that we didn't race there, i never said we would race, i like goin out there cuz theres AC and its something different to run and have fun with, and the last times we have went, we didnt race at planet either so it wasn't a wasted trip

Hofer-i will find out what times for sunday and post them on here

yokman
07-04-2005, 01:15 PM
voodoo-bring that TC out this sun and run it in some circles.sounds like there will be a few of us running.i would like to see 3 heats and a main though if i am coming on a sun.i am not worried about any of you guys racing me clean.you guys are good drivers and belive me in my years of racing oval...i aint scared of anyone.you break, you fix it and you go pay the favor back.lol, just kidding.i perdect 82 laps will be had,2.5 sec laps, woooohoooooo

does bender have a TC he can run with us????

well i am off to blow stuff up for the day
happy indipendence day to all.

well we did it.ran some TC oval today and got 100 laps in 5 flat.thats alot of turning and 2.8 sec laps.i was running a LEADING EDGE 19 turn.another guy that is pretty quick was there earlier running 19 turn pan car with no problems.track is big enough to run pan oval on,if the drivers are good enough(so that means i am out).but touring car was alot of fun.

charles-good time had and you were pretty fast for a rookie at oval.

so who's down for onroad wed???????

Martin,

Take I-465 E to Emerson Ave (exit 52) At the top of the ramp you will go south (left)on Emerson Ave. Indy slots is located about 1 mile on the left side of the road. The address is 5135 Emerson Ave. A helpfull marker is when you pass the speedway gas station it will be the first shopping complex on your left and Indy slots is in the corner. The track opens at 5 pm with racing starting at 7:30 pm. Hope to see you there! If you need any more info let us know.

How about I lay some ozite down in my living room. You'd probably have more fun running 19T.

yokman
07-11-2005, 07:23 PM
lets get this straight...i ran 19 turn tc oval, and i did have fun.one of brad hayes o'l buddy was there running a 19 turn in pan car.there is no way that 6 or 8 car could run.they also had a t spec class with 8 or so in it and they had a blast...so did I ,watching.rubber tires on that little track.

looks like i am out wed,so the B main just wont be the same.

Why no 4 cell stock class???? There is a track the same size in bay city Mi. that gets a great turnout running stock.

j21moss
07-12-2005, 08:49 AM
I agree Frank.. 4 cell stock seems to be more practical to run but I guess theses guys like to go fast and break parts and spend money.. Ask Matt Graves.. he's got all the big money!!! LMAO

"Frank Ulbrik"
07-12-2005, 09:00 AM
I had the most fun last year running stock at our local tracks in Mi. On a track that small 4 cell stock would be the only way to go, IMO. & would be a blast

Here are a few more questions...

What kind of winding you guys use and what's the hot tyre setup? Is there a hobbyshop on site?

Martin Paradis

Monti007
07-12-2005, 11:23 AM
Martin,

We only run stock 1/12 on Weds. The tire set up is Purple fronts and either whites or greys in the rear. There is a hobby shop on site but not a lot of parts for 1/12. If you are looking for parts you will want to go to Hobby Town which is located about 4 or 5 miles from your Hotel. Just take 86th st. east and it turns into 82nd street at the big green bridge (I know that sounds weird but streets in Indy just change with out any notice) In any case when you are going down 86th/82nd st the hobby shop is about 9 stop lights on your left. It is in a shopping center and it is hard to see from the road. Look for a Steak and Shake and a Denny's resturant in front of the shopping center and turn left at the light. If you get to the I-69 over pass you have gone to far.

moss-i didn't break any parts just bured up a right front tire.having a 4 wheel drive car is a little bit different than a pan car.they put the 3 of us with out t specs in the"mod class" so i through a 19 turn in and had no problems.

4 cell stock-bring it.get enough people that will commite to running on a sunday and we'll do it.i never said you couldnt run it.just seems like the other oval guys dont seem to interested.they run oval on SUNDAY,start time is 1:00,3 heats and a main.last week we ran 5 min though.

Yok- Just kidding. I wedged my 12th under a corner dot last week...

I'd like 4-cell stock but it will have to be a weeknight- maybe Tuesdays?

Frank I agree...I only ran once last year at the Snowbirds race in New Castle and stock was a blast. Finished second in pretty good group of guys. Ernie Parsons (I think that's his name) got me, but stock is where 90% of R/C racers need to be. I love it when I see some new guy dumping his paycheck into parts just to go out and get in everyones way. Then 3 monthes later you see the same jackass selling out. That's why the sport seems to be struggling to build a crowd.

Doug is a super nice guy, but he needs to be a little stricter on some of the guys. It seemed in slot cars that he played favorite a little bit and he kept trying to start new classes that was killing turnout. He needs to be strict on the tech rules too....I saw way to many people bitching and complaining about cheating and most of them were legit complaints. I hope things get going though I'm ready to do a little racing this winter. Indy slots is a top notch facility and I'll be back to laying the smack down on people like Jerri Moss. It's on like Donkey Kong Jerri!!!
