this is a matter of one's personal opinion. I have owned both but now drive a Revo. Some folks have better luck with a certain vehicle than another. I couldn't keep diffs in a Savage but other guys I race with have no trouble. As far as hop-ups ou can pretty much get anything for either truck. I had a 2.5r motor in my revo and I was getting 7 1/2 to 8 mins of runtime on 33%. I will tell you that a properly tuned revo will keep up with a big block for a certain distance but unless you are on a track that is 300' long a small block revo will do just fine. As for durability I had over 1 gallon when I tore down my Revo with NO loose or broken parts, the only thing I had to replace was a slipper pad but that was my fault.

Well, you can replace EVERY part of a Savage with hop up parts so I'm not sure how you can say there are more hop up parts available for the Revo. As far as durability I'd say they are both good trucks. You should be able to get more fuel through the big block between rebuilds though.

I have a Savage .25 SS and a revo and I have to say I like my revo alot more. My revo is faster, better at the track, good on gas, lighter, I do think there is more tuning option with the revo because the rockers, how the shocks are set up, you can put a wing on it, you could put a bigblock in it, and the revo is more race ready then it. This is just all IMO. The savage is big, heavy (we call it the TANK), IT wont break, it is out of the box really slow unless you know how to break it is the right way, shocks stink they are hard as a rock, the gas tank is HUGE and it takes forever to do the break in, I really only like the sound of it really. Now it is up to you not us, but I say the revo.
