i have an OS .12 cvr that just barley finnishes a 5 in main. a few times I have flamed out just before the finnish line and coasted across. I understand that you want as little amount of fuel as possible for less weight.....but its making me a little nervous. Ive tried leaning out the low end but it doesnt seem to help. Im also running at 250 deg all the time.
any ideas?

Well you could try a carb restrictor if you feel you have enough power, you could also try a bigger clutch bell since the engine uses more fuel with higher RPM's this will keep them R's down a little. You could also install more fuel tubing to increase your fuel capacity slightly. Oh and keep that idle speed as low as possible.
the track I race is actually not very high reving. its a tech course. I dont even have the room to hit second gear so I spend a lot of time in the low rpms. A crab restrictor is out. I need the power since I cant get top end. Ill try more fuel toubing and see where that gets me.

Do you have a single speed option? If so I would get it and gear slightly higher than you would be in first gear of your two speed. Getting rid of a two speed gets rid of alot of rotational inertia.
do you think this could lead to a 1/2 tank loss of fuel. others are finnishing with 1/4 to 1/2 half full tank. I dont think gearing or fuel volume is the real issue. there is somthing else at work here. somthing evil :p

A friends Revo was going through fuel real fast (and running real lean). It turned out that the O-Ring in this fuel tank lid had been torn letting in air and causing his fuel to leak out every where. He was going through a tank of fuel in about 4 laps though.
yeah...I already replaced the tank
