"THE TRACK"



Opening day July 3, 2005. Racing starts at 11:00am.

DIRECTIONS:

FROM CLEVELAND, I-480 West, Lorain Rd. exit, turn left(west), 3 lights to route 83, turn left(south), 2 miles on the left look for new driveway. Driveway is right after a towing company.

FROM OHIO TURNPIKE, exit 152, Lorain RD. west, 2nd light route 83 turn left.

TRACK DIMENSIONS:120 x 60, 11-10 foot lanes clay topsoil mix surface, 8.5 foot drivers stand, 30 foot long 5 foot wide.

CLASSES:stock and mod 2wd, stock and mod truck, 1/10 scale gas truck and 1/8 gas buggy.

$10 for 1st class, $5 for 2nd class

snack bar, amb, personal transponders, generators are welcome, currently no electricity.

Come on out for some great racing action at "THE TRACK"

Will there ever be a weekday night for racing offroad? like maybe Friday? or even thursday or wednesday but friday nights would work best. Who is/are the owners and people who run the track? can you post pics? or can we just come out anyday to check it out? is there open practice through the week?

Sunday is the only day for racing.

Matt Walsh is the owner of the track and Mr.Bill is the race director.

As of right now there will be no open practice, the track is not finished yet but hopefully by this weekend it will be. You or anyone else is welcome to stop by and check the track out.

Sunday - interesting.

Might have to get the Team to come out a take a gander.

So Mr. Bill is the race director too - see he is getting back into it again - that is good.

When do you plan on having power and maybe water out there?

Also any pics to post up here so we can see it?

by the way the track is only 30 min. from medina and 20 min from cleveland

just curiuos what tires you think would be okay for there on a 1/8mugen buggy ?i run kamoto dragons at medina you think those will be all right ?also is sunday going to be your regular race ?

Well tires are still a mystery for me and the other people that put the track together, we dont know what is going to work yet. When the track is blown off there is some great traction.

Sunday will be our race day we start at 11am.

just woundering i run 1/8 scale buggy and at medina i use panther kamotto dragons do you think they will be okay for the new track ?that is pretty to cool you guy's run on sunday and medina is on saturday now i get twice the fun ha ha thanks

Well im not sure only because i dont run 1/8th scale, but if it helps at all , i was there running with pro-line hole shots and square fuzzies on my truck and there was some great traction.

:thumbsup: OPENING WAS GREAT TWO HEAT OF TRUCK AND ONE IN GAS, NO BAD FOR A HOLIDAY WEEK END. MATT LET EVERONE RACE FOR FREE AND GIVE OUT RIBBONS,I HAVE NOT GOT A RIBBON IN YEARS IT WAS COOL. I CAN ONLY SEE GOOD THING FOR THE HOBBY AND THIS TRACK IN THE FUTURE THEY HAVE BROUGHT BACK THE FUN IN RACING, GOOD LUCK TO MATT AND THE TRACK I WILL BE BACK NEXT FOR SURE :wave:

I loved the track out there guy's it was really fun, I was the guy running the buggy .i am going to be there for sure next Sunaday can't wait , but i bought me tent cuz i was toast after racing was done ..haha .But one thing is for sure we need some water out there the traction sucked till' the end then it was getting to be okay .I understand the water thing is under works so it cool . I also wanted to metioned the one rule matt, or who ever brought, made it what ever it up i dunno, is the monster truck class I mean i have alot of my freinds race Monster truck and i they know how to drive and let's face most of the new guy's go out and buy a t-maxx or savage something like that. Lets not forget the how fun it is to watch the monster trucks i mean that what it is all about right ?fun ? and besides the extra class i would think would help out the track. anyways just woundering .

The Track was SUPER DIALED, there was some great racing yesterday. I had a lot of fun and i am for sure going back next weekend.

The owners of THE TRACK have decided that if there is that much interest in the monster trucks that you can bring them and we will see if there is enough for a class to race them.

okay i was just curious ,i was also woundering have they figured out a better way to get the track water'd ?for this sunday ?

well , matt i am sorry to say after last sunday's thing that happined with bill and the lack of water and traction i am going to have to hold off on comeing to "the track "leave me a post in here when you got evrything sqaured away that way i might come back ...............robert

There will not be any races held for probably two weeks, the track is open though if anyone is interested in running some laps.

anytime anyday laps or just sunday i got a revo with a vantage chassis , vantage pipe , os .18tm and some other goodies i need some track time with or is it no monster trucks still

the track needs more than just water they need a realiable race conducter ,better jumps .......the ones they have now don't even come close to the "other place ".and last but not least less waitng time inbetween race's i rember the frist time i was there when they opened i waited pretty close to two hours before my heat was up and there was only like ten guy's there wtf ?i guess this place just got off on the wrong track ha ha .. maybe they should have just waited a lil'bit longer to open so they would be more orginized,cuz you now what they say about frist impression pepole .Don't get me wrong this place has pontenial(i know i can't spell but you get the point).There is a couple of other thing i don't like about this track to but i am going to keep them to my self and hope fully they will iron them self's out and who now's in few mnths week's whatever it will be a nice place . robert

Due to certain unforseen circumstances, THE TRACK will not be holding any official races, until further notice.

However it will be open sundays to practice if interested.

nah i am not i didn't have anyone to go with ruben and jaun allready have full car so i just wait For septembers race mabye by then you'll have your truck and you can go with me ?
