Has anyone ordered from them before? They have a movie that has never before been available on vhs or disc, and has been a holy grail of mine for some twenty-five years. Was really excited that it resurfaced - it's a forgotten movie, almost no-one has ever even head of it.

Sent payment three weeks ago, postal money order. My first email inquiry on order status was ignored. Just sent a second.

What's the movie in question?

Voyage to the End of the Universe is it's Americanized name, originally Ikarie XB-1. From Czechoslovakia 1963, one of those slow serious types like 2001 and Solaris.

For years nobody had even heard of it, but two or three years ago it got restoration and toured with an exhibition of movies from that nation.

I saw it in the mid-Seventies on tv, local channel showed at midnight Friday in the summer and it's stayed with me since.

Arrgh And come to think of it in the THOUSANDS of "Celeb" Nude Sites I've Looked at I've NEVER seen ANYBODY EVER have ANY shots of Ms. Kennedy that were ANY more candid than her 1980 Pictorial in PlayBoy! I shoulda known better. Now if ya' ask for Barbara Carrera They can show ya' OBGYN Pictures! lol But What your lookin' for ISN'T ADULT So I wonder why your gettin the Run a' Round? hmmmm Well On a happier Note I did just find a Copy (in DVD no less!) of a Grail Movie of mine It's Ms. Carrera and Rock Hudson in "Embryo" FOR ONLY $3.00 on Amazon!!! did ya' try there? Well I saw a Claim of a Private VERY "R" Rated Tape Ms Kennedy supposedly Made lol from an Outfit called "Something Weird Video" Well Long Story Short, I got the Tape BUT it was Blank!

Something Weird Video is a legitimate outfit, John, don't know if you were just unlucky and got a bad tape or got a dupe. I've bought quite a few of of their DVD's and they usually put a lot of care into them, they usually have remastered pictures, tons of extras, period shorts, and other fun stuff. I have their Wild Wild World of Jayne Mansfield, one of the best "bad" movies ever made. Jayne had the misfortune to be decapitated in a auto accident about halfway thru this "nudie" film, but in the best Plane Nine tradition this didn't stop the intrepid film makers. They just hired a imitator to do the creepy "from beyond" narration, spliced in some grisly accident scene newsreel footage from the crash, and an incredibly macarbe scene where her husband and kids give a tour of her house (a female version of Jethroe's "swinging bachelor pad") and grave! Great stuff!

I've never heard of Bijou Flix, Dreamer, but I've had mail order tapes arrive long after I had given up on them, so there's still hope!

Oh yeah Phil- I TOTALLY agree with ya' Something Weird IS a Decent Place And Like I said Since then I've had the MAGIC of the World Wide Web to Browse sites such as Mr. Skin and MANY others and I collect Attractive Photos for Our Web Shots (Screen Savers) Of Course Any REALLY "Candid" Pics of Say Ms. Jolie, We keep in a File out of Public View. I have the Web Shots Set up so that for a few seconds you'll have a Pic of an Original Aurora Jekyll Glow Box Then the next Shot is Selma with the Giant Snake around her from Dusk Till Dawn Then Maybe A Blown up Pic of the Ol' "Mars Attacks" Cards. So as I was Sayin' I've Even Found Shots of Kirsten Dunce lol Losing her Bikini Top as she got out of the Beach Water(And I ONLY collect Real Candid Photos!) BUT NEVER! NEVER! have I seen ANY shots of Ms Jayne Kennedy in ANY Provocitive Pics besides those which she Posed for with her Husband (and Somehow Playboy Managed to Show you her Profile COMPLETLEY in the Buff BUT YET you managed to see NUTHIN! lol) So I think IF there were any Films Besides the Old Wonder Woman Series to see MORE of this Beautiful (well back then lol) Actress I'm Sure At LEAST a Screen Grab would have appeared! Oh and Dreamer- Phil is Also right in that These Films you Mail Order can Take For Freakin' EVER!!!! lol so don't give up

Phil, I hope you're right, They have a website that they've put money into, they've invested in original cover artwork for some of their titles, and they seem to know their obscure movies. They've got endorsements from such places as Variety magazine (assuming those refs are authentic). They also say they have only a small staff...their ignoring my two emails could mean their computer is down, or their customer relations person (to whom they direct order status inquiries) is absent...I don't mind a delay, but I do wish they would answer my emails and keep me informed. I'll write a letter tonight and ask one more time. Also check with the post office, have them trace the money order and see if it was cashed. By their own statements, it should take only a week even if payment is by postal m. o. I mailed it three weeks ago now. They ship by priority mail, and that's from one state away.

On the suspicious side, though, they also claim not to be a bootleg outfit...but I wonder at the presence of a few of their titles, which seem to be the same restored prints of silent films that I thought only Kino had rights to...

BTW, they do have Killdozer! ;) By their own admission, it's not in good shape...but they have it!

Got an email from Laura at Bijou, they have just re-opened their offices after some kind of emergency that had to be attended to. She hasn't found my order yet, but hasn't checked their P/O. box yet. That's where I sent it, the post office box, so things are looking up! :)

So, did you ever end up getting the video? There are no dates on this thread, so I don't know when this was posted; But anyway, I just ordered a movie I've want for YEARS and have found NO WHERE and sent them a payment (not through the mail, but the computer) weeks ago and still no movie. I'm wondering if they went out of business or something? =/

I did get my movie, very quickly after I contacted them by email. Good package, movie in good shape. That was almost four years ago, though, no idea how the ecomony is affecting them. I know it's shut down at least one outfit I liked, X-Ploited (a good resource for obtaining legit copies of non-region1 DVDs).


I hope you can either contact them or recover your money. Was it through PayPal?

Yeah, I'm starting to think that maybe they went out of business, most likely because of the economy. Although, I don't know.. they still have the website up. I emailed them through 2 different contact email addresses, and no reply. No movie in the mail. Nothing. I've been dying for "Barn of the Blood Llama" (LOL) and was SO excited to find it being sold.

Hm. I wonder what the problem is; especially if they still have the site up.
