Got around to swapping out the RL's to Cat paws today. I had to make a rear wing for this one of course. I drilled out and filed the vent holes in the front fenders and covered them with brass pipe screen. Then I painted them black. All of the vents were opened and seat-belts were installed with blue painters tape. Oddly in none of the photos of this car can I find a position for a rear view mirror. I'm sure there was some form of one but for the life of me I don't see it. The car is done in 1966 Riverside colors and markings.

Nice job! I like your idea of the blue painter's tape for seat belts, but what do you make the buckles with?

Just a small touch of silver paint on the very ends.

I stated on hwc.com but i will again here nice work on another old racer. Mine is on its way and so is the mclaren. Great job on this one.

If your talking about the one requesting HW to finish the Chaparral series; I hope you added your 2cents worth to it. It'd sure be neat to have the rest of them in the HW line.

Yep, over there I go by the moniker "leman", Fast Eddie was taken, or so I was told when I registered some 3 1/2 years ago. I have never seen anyone with the name post over there. I was one of the folks who responded with more models to be made.(2j, 2e, the chaparral I, 2f to name a few)!

I hope we get what we ask for. I've looked at a lot of stuff but can't find anything to modify that would even come close to the missing Chaparrals. I've heard HW actually pays some attention to the HW board. I'd think it would be benificial to have an ear to the ground at all of these. They may get some redundancy in post but you can usually tell people that post on more than one board. Fortunately ClearHooter hasn't been taken on any board I've wanted to post on; so I've used it.

I'd also like to see that "Birdcage" made in 1/64. That would be too cool.
