Thought I'd update y'all on my current project - Obi Wans' fighter. I picked the kit up at Wonderfest and have been detailing it out a bit. Here's a couple of pictures showing the interior (with repainted figure).

Here's a picture that compares the pre-painted wing to the one I'm working on (preshaded). Notice how the panel lines really jump out on the right.

Thanks for the posts Vee! The Obi-wan figure looks 1000% better, and you're right about the weathering on the wing section! Be sure to post more photos when it's finished! Oh, and a few along the way wouldn't be bad... :p

Thanks fellas. I was planning on this being a blow-by-blow report, so progress pictures are certainly planned. BTW - I found a neat looking chunk of concrete that I'm thinking about using for the base. More to come.....

I've been swamped at work for the last week and haven't done much other than pre-shading the other wing and started laying down the base coats. I did paint the rock base (black with purple drybryshing). I'll post some pics when I can get a chance.

No problem Rob. BTW, I just received my "Anakin's Jedi Starfighter" today. As expected, it's the same quality as the Obi-wan Starfighter, right down to the poor paint job on the figure.

First of all, my sincerest apologies on the updates. I've been working 60+ hours for the past three weeks (including weekends). Looks like its all behind me now, so I'm hoping to finish this sucker this week.

The first picture is the base. Like I said earlier, it's a piece of concrete I found while walking my dog. It has incredible texture to it and the drybrushing really brought it out.

The second picture is the nearly-completed fighter. All that's left are the wing pieces. I picked up a set of after-market decals at Wonderfest. For the most part they're great, but some of the smaller ones were delicate and I trashed them.
