I have never taken any pics of my R/C planes since I got my digi-cam so here are a couple of them taken today between rain showers.

This first pic is of my modified 4-Star.40 that is powered by an O.S. 70 fourstroke.

This is a 3-D stunt plane of my own design, powered by an O.S. 46 and this plane has the quickest roll rate of any I have ever flown. And I have flown a great many of them. :)

My stunt plane can hover and do torque rolls but I have not tried at a very low altitude, my flying days are over since my club lost our field so no chance to practice any cool stunts.

I have had the chance to fly a few giant scale aerobatic planes and they are very easy to fly but I did not want to try any low level hovering with them since they were'nt my models and thought it unwise to risk destroying someone elses model.

I totaly agree i dont screw around with my buddys planes low to the ground unless he tells me i can and he will not hold me responsibe if anything happens. I will not screw up but you never know you might get a radio hit or glitch and that low to the ground all it takes is one second and it is over with!!!

bsracing8,

I helped test fly all kinds of airplanes when we had new pilots or if the builder was uneasy about making the first flight on their new airplane and if people trusted me with their expensive planes I would never take any chances on crashing them by showing off.
There are too many things that can go wrong with these things to fly them in a reckless manner.

The airfield we had was very nice and had a 300ft runway and 18 acres of overfly area, it is so far the best RC airfield I have flown at. There is another airfield about two hours drive from my home but the field is not very good and some of the people in that club are rather snooty.

Yah i do the same thing i will test fly someones plane if they want me to. are field is 681 ft long our club rents some property form the park service and i am only two miles form our field so i have nothing to complain about but i am truly sorry about your field i hope it never happens to us but you never know.

bsracing8,
Good luck in keeping your airfield, I hope your club can continue that deal with the park service.
The airfield loss was a big reason I gave up flying but the other problem was the age of my fellow pilots, most of my flying buddies are too old to fly or have passed away and the numbers of active flyers have grown quite small. It is not easy to get a new flying field when you don't have the enough numbers (people and $).

Thank you i agree with you most of our fliers are oldtimers and they can be dangerous. people are not a problem for us we would have like 300 members if we did not put a cap on our membership at 80. we need to try to keep everything low key the less people we have flying the less chance we will lose our field and again i am sorry about you field! do you think maybe you can find a nice place near by or is there park service buy you maybe they will lease some that is what we do. if so i whish you the best. dont let a loss of field keep you from flying we need to keep this sport going.

I hope i dont get dangerous!!! I mean the stuff i do no is not safe to do around when alot of people are at the field i bring the plane it to a torque roll and walk out to is touch the tail with my hand and rolling harriers inches from the ground!! One slip of the finger and there goes 5-9000 out the window!!! I just hope i never lose my planes because of a mistake i make!!! I i get dangerous in my old age i think i would have to give it uo so i dont hurt anyone. I will stick with the fomies then i fly those also and not at the field i fly them in my bedroom or basment!!!

who is bsracing8? there is a guy at my track that is sponsored by bsr. just curious who's flying that ultimate in the picture. i've got a compostie-arf 35% extra. i fly at dcrc in rockville, md. r/c indoor tracks make really good places to fly my tbm monte. anyone who wants to learn torque roll fast, this is the easiest way. the troybuiltmodels monte is rock solid in hover and torque rolls don't get overspeeded. i charged all my lipo's and went to the park and had it mastered in about an hour.
