Kat, the Southern 500 in Macon is August 20-21, try not to schedule that weekend as we would like to attend the Strickland race and would like to see some of you guys up here for the 500 this year!

I'm guessing the makeup would be August 6, the same weekend as Superiors regular monthly weekend races. Yesterday was a nice day of on road racing at Superior, well until the around 3.....when it started to pour...

you see superior has a monster truck jam every saturday before the sunday on road race. every saturday is booked up...superior is going to rent the space 2 weekends in august...well at least i hope... but it will not be august 7th...... if you only knew all the schedule conflicts and politics in a little r/c race it would scare you. i will know something friday. thanks bill

Is anyone interested in running a brushless class for this race? I have both the novak's bl motors and speedo. It really don't matter what we run. I just haven't had the chance to race with other brushless motors and a break out class is not fun LOL

There are three of us in Naples trying to get a Brushless 1/10th class going in FOCAR.
Where waiting for the voting in FOCAR about adding a brushless 5800 class
truck or car for next year. The proposed system you can run will be the Novak 5800 Brushless system and motor only. Nothing else. This keeps it easy to tech and keeps the class very competitive.

I have a feeling that this class is not only going to be fun but will soon be the biggest class due to the cost factor. :)

There will be a brushless class run @ the southern 500 in Macon GA August 20-21. Run the 5800 in stock mode(blue light on) or the 4300 in either profile.

RPM - I believe Katf1sh posted somewhere that the brushless class would be a promotional class for this year. We only need to get enough racers to make a class. I had fun running it with some 19t brushed motors a while back, but that soon ended LOL...

Thats this year, but FOCAR will be voting on 2006 races soon - My vote is for brushless 1/10th scale class .

So far there is three of us from Naples are ready to run in a truck or
car class now, but want to run for points next year.

Maybe we can get together and have a promotional race on the last FOCAR race of the year if its OK with Kat.

We can discuss the details with everyone intested at the next FOCAR race.

Hey Kat, keep that low key dude, don't want to ruin all the entries. You know JoMamma may crawfish after hearing the NatureBoy will be styling at profiling at the FOCAR Race. I wore Humpty out on the phone this weekend building a new car. I bet I called him 4 or 6 times. Hopefully I've got a couple of 19-Turn motors on the way to me and I'll be all set.

ok guys ...it sounds so simple..looks like a good idea on paper..BUT...kenny is paying to rent the building at minnreg...he needs to make money right? the series is 25.00 and 15.00 if we decided to make it a focar race...the entry fees would be higher...not alot but a little..i will talk to kenny ..IF WE DO GET RAINED OUT....

Hey Big Daddy, dont get your gills in a bunch, I know there are issues to be worked out and I would NEVER want to step on any toes or take money away from a host track. It was after all a suggestion that I feel merits consideration, if it was equitable for all parties. And for the record I would be willing to pay more for my entry fees to cover costs. Unfortunately we dont get to race locally so any track time is well worth it. I am sure not everyone feels the same way, that is why this is just my opinion. I would love to get a building somewhat centrally located in the state to start having indoor oval races. As soon as I get some health issues straightened out I will begin looking. I have a fever and the only cure is oval racing...Keep up the good work Kat! :thumbsup:

if you buy an indoor building ..i will have every race held there! it gets old fighting the weather.

we tried racing while a hurricane took aim at florida last year and it was a huge mess. every racer had one eye on the hurricane and the other on trying his best to race and have fun. if you were at rpm that day you know it wasn't fun.

the series has a few regulars who travel from south florida and the west coast as well. i cannot ask them to leave there families and homes and come race toy cars.

for this reason race # 4 will be rescheduled. september and december are open months. i will talk with mike bean and we will race at strickland i promise.

please stay safe and i hope to see you all in sugust at MTR speedway for race # 5

side note: mike bean will be racing tonight at 7 pm and will try and race saturday as a normal once a month program. if you live localy come on out and run weather permitting.

I Had a blast last night. Finally got my Maverick to handle and put in some good laps. To bad it is my last race here in Florida.
