Here is a stock Carrera Cuda..
Notice the light over the rear wheels.
This needed to be fixed...

Here we go with the same Cuda after it has been "helped"...
there was a spacer that removed. And the posts were shaved.
I had to shorten the rear axle to allow the rear tires to sit within the rear fenders. I notice that I still have not reinstalled "Bob", the driver...
A fun little project.

Scott,
Sure does look better. Now that you have stance right, time to put a new coat of paint and some Sox & Martin Decals (or whomever) on this thing. rr

Scott,
What kind of 1/32 scale set do you have?

That cuda looks great lowered! I think I will have to give that a try on my GTO that is raised up. I'll post pics if I pull it off properly.

One note...
The rear axle needs to be shortened if you have the jacked up GTO...
That was probably the worst part.
I think that I had to cut most of the knurls off the axle and super glue the wheels back on...
Lowering the chassis and cutting the interior was just trial & error.
I just kept trimming the interior and the body posts a bit at a time until it sat where I wanted it.
I must have taken the car apart and put it together (without screws) 20 times...

none...
But I do have a small amount of Carrera track...
But no layout yet.
One day...

did you have to sand the inner fenders? or is there enough space in there.

I don't think that I had to sand any inner fenders..
The interior did need trimming...

noddaz,
that looks great, alot better than the hi-jacker look of the early 70s. on that rear axle deal, the rear wheels have already been enlarged from the knurled axle. so you "may" run into a problem down the road with them working their way off. if your interested, I have a stock length axle from a Carerra GTO (non jacked up version) that your welcome to if you want. just shoot me a email and I`ll send it to you.

Thanks for the offer Mark.
But at this point the car still has not turned a lap on a track.
(No space to build one...)
So the axle is not an issue.
But thanks just the same...

If Scott isn't interested, I would be. The GTO is getting lowered and then repainted in a few weeks. Just let me know how much you want for it Mark.
