View Full Version : To all my friends in Goshen, Ft wayne and MI
mmmoose1 05-30-2005, 11:32 PM Hi all
Just a little note that Kris (Crash Mcgee) leaves tommorow for basic training.
I am a proud papa that my kid has enough courage to volunteer for service to his country in these troubled times. It won't be the same at the track without him. Moose
Sundance 05-31-2005, 05:00 AM Hey Crash Magee! We are proud of you. May God be with you and KICK ALITTLE @%#*& for the rest of us. We will keep you in our prayers untill your safe return.

A/FX Nut 05-31-2005, 09:42 PM Good luck Chris. Moose, What branch of the service is he signed up for? Tell him the mental part is tougher than the physical part. Positive mental attitude is what he needs. And never to give up. He will do fine. Randy.
roadrner 05-31-2005, 11:18 PM Congrats! Just like A/FX Nut stated, mental. Once you leave basic you won't believe the difference. Good luck, I have three serving today. Only had to worry about one, but he's back. Gearing up for the next round that's coming soon. Thanks for serving, it is appreciated! Semper Fi, OOH AAH! and all the other sayings! rr
mtyoder 06-02-2005, 05:48 PM Crash is going to basic training. Does that mean we have to change his nickname? Like maybe Tank Mcgee, Push-up Mcgee, Private Mcgee, Chopper Mcgee, Ranger Mcgee, or maybe Please don't kick my butt Mcgee. Good luck and K some A Chris. :dude:
Sundance 06-13-2005, 10:57 PM Moose , have you heard from Magee? Tim
mmmoose1 06-14-2005, 08:41 PM I have recieved one letter telling me he got there OK and a couple of calls. He called Sunday night for a few minutes saying that they issued him his rifle...
Ron and I are thinking we are both glad we are out of range.
roadrner 06-14-2005, 09:36 PM Great to hear you have had contact so early! Just hope it keeps up but don't get dissapointed if it slacks off. Remember, these days at basic don't or won't get many chances to call or write (especially early on), but they do love letters from home. Been there, done it! Thanks again Crash! rr
Sundance 06-14-2005, 09:48 PM Moose when you get his address post it please, and see how many letters for hobby talk members we can send him. If he shoot like he races am glad I'm out of range also LOL May God be with you MAGEE and thank you. Sundance

A/FX Nut 06-15-2005, 08:45 PM Moose, When I went through basic the Drill Sergeants told us to write letters home regulary. They didn't want the parents and or spouses writing them or the commanding officers asking why they haven't wrote. You should get a letter from the Commanding Officer stating you son arrived and what he will be doing. I saw the one my parents recieved from the Brigade CO. Dad still has it. Which branch of the service did he join? Randy.
mmmoose1 06-19-2005, 06:25 PM Randy, Tim
Kris joined the ARMY Reserve and seems to be having a "good time" in basic.
Here is his address if you should care to write him. He seems awfully busy but would like to get mail.
