View Full Version : New Yvonne Craig / Batgirl Release have a look !
BigJohn 05-28-2005, 10:46 AM This is by far the best Batgirl kit ever. Before there was the Scoop kit , but this kit is far better in likeness and easy assembly . This kit is limited so rush while you can. Kit is 1/6th scale stands 10" high...

Zombie_61 05-28-2005, 12:44 PM This is by far the best Batgirl kit ever.Yeah, except for the fact that the "unmasked" head looks nothing like Yvonne Craig.
Zorro 05-28-2005, 12:57 PM What's the third head?
John P 05-28-2005, 05:40 PM What's the third head?
Frank Gorshin.
I admire these folks' efforts, but none of their kits look like the people in question. Though this one IS a cool kinda "cartoon Yvonne Craig" head.
They have a nice Batmobile model, though.
BigJohn 05-28-2005, 07:25 PM We tried on the head . I really think if the painting were better it would look more like her. The sculpt was dead on . Yvonne said the sculpt looked more like her that the painted. I have Johnn Patterson doing a new paint job. I will post the results .. John
Parts Pit Mike 05-28-2005, 09:36 PM How much is she?
John P 05-29-2005, 04:01 PM True, the paint job IS the key.
But even if it doesn't look exactly like Yvonne, it's still a cool Batgirl model.
Zombie_61 05-29-2005, 07:18 PM Sure, but if you're gonna call something "the best" it had better have the goods! The masked head looks great, so if Big John says it's the paint job and not the sculpt I have no reason to doubt him.
BigJohn 05-30-2005, 01:06 AM Thanks everyone and you too Zombie. I hope the paint job helps the looks ... The price is $125.00 with free shipping in the US ..John Stacks

Go back and look again...
There's a head wearing the mask.
There's a head without the mask smiling.
There's a head without the mask not smiling.

I think it looks great!!!! I noticed your email addy...This is being made in the Tampa Bay area?
Dinsdale 08-04-2005, 07:45 PM I ordered this kit through the company's website and I received a kit with no base and only one head (the smiling Yvonne Craig head) not three.
I'm kinda bummed because the Batgirl head and the cool base were the major selling points. Without them the kit is of little interest to me.
I'm hoping this was a mistake by the shipping department and not a case of false advertising. I have a sent a couple of e-mails to John and am awaiting a reply.
I'll post again when I know more.

The Batman 08-06-2005, 12:02 AM I posted a message over on Tony Moe's BB concerning this problem and here's what Johnny Stacks had to say:
Ok guys let me try and explain...The base thing has been a problem . Kits were boxed without the bases and I am trying to get everyone a base . Even our own Tony Moe did not get his base and I am very sorry . No need for anyone to panic , I will take care of everyone...Now the heads . I did post all the heads on Hobby Talk but I have a problen selling the cowled or masked heads . When cowled or maseked the figures become property of Warner. I have a deal with Yvonne Craig and Burt Ward and those are the ones I care about . Now if you guys need heads write Tony and he can direct to a person that does heads that fit these kits .. Now let's all get busy and get these kits built and post lots of photos ...Johnny

Dinsdale 08-06-2005, 10:32 PM Batman,
Thanks for going to "bat" for me on the other forum. Good to get an answer on this even though it's not 100% to my liking. Waiting and hearing nothing was the worst part.
I'm still a little irked about the way the Batgirl head was advertised (here and elsewhere), but I'll get over it if I can find a reasonable substitute.

The Batman 08-06-2005, 10:44 PM I think it's still batmoebile1966@aol.com but, if that doesn't work, you can always post a message for him on his own forum - he could tell you himself how best to contact him off the boards.

P.S. I'm with you about not liking the fact that this was promoted one way and delivered another - especially without explanation. I can certainly understand the predicament Johnny is in about not being able to sell the one head due to entaglements with Warners, and I'm glad that he says he'll try to do right by everybody... but, I wish he would have been up front with everyone about this the moment that 'the deal' he'd promoted changed.

Dinsdale 08-17-2005, 04:24 AM Hi All,
Contacted Tony Moe and he put me in touch with someone who supplies the Batgirl head. Paid for it thru paypal and it arrived (along with the missing base, etc. from Johnny) about a week ago.
In all a happy ending to the story, just keep in mind the full kit will cost a little more than the advertised price.
Over and out.
scooterscustom 09-04-2005, 11:03 PM It would be interesting to know which heads the kits John has on ebay right now come with. Seeing as how both the cowled head and the uncowled head of the Batgirl are shown. It just says "7 pieces" not which heads come with the kit. Plus some pics show the belt buckles and some do not. Interestingly though - on the Burt Ward ones he has up - it specifically says "both heads".
Things that make you go "Hmmmmm"
