Just ran across the news on the ROAR website that they have suspended the use of the approved body list for 1/12 oval bodies. They indicated that 1/12 Nascar bodies are in short supply at best.

In fact, there is no shortage of the McAllster Racing 1/12 Monte Carlo body. The body can be purchased through all the normal channels including your local hobby shop. We package them in 030 Lexan and Calandra Racing Concepts has them available in 020 Lexan. They are available imediately in any quantity.

We will be introducing new 1/12 bodies towards fall. Don't forget, 1/12 is the grand daddy of electric racing.

because protoform doesn't make a 12th scale oval body anymore roar thinks that you can't get them. what a bunch of crap roar is. Gary I personally like you monte carlo better than those other guys. keep up the good work man.

i just got a 12th oval car! looks like putnam and gary are the only 2 companies left who make a 12th oval body? good for gary.........i'll make sure superior hobbies carries a few. roar needs help...

hey gary just bought one of your 1/12 love how it looks man nice and as far as all of this roar is like nextel they won't be happy until no one likes to race.

Just to be clear...I wasn't complaining about ROAR. It's just the wording sounded like there weren't 1/12 oval bodies around, which isn't the case. We're just one of several manufacturers that have plenty available.

The only fly in the ointment is re-establihing body rules once an "anything goes" policy is used for a while.

I ran the 04 monte 12th scale McAllister body at the Roar oval nats last month and it worked great. The bodys look nice also.
