I agree with most of what is said, except for his remarks about martin truex. I guess its impossible for him to have his own fans? Even if he didnt drive for DEI in the busch and cup series i would still be a fan. I was a fan before he entered into a highly televised series..thats why I voted for him to be in it...

I agree completely after watching a tape of it my sister gave me, it was a joke the "rockstar thing" and why the hell was Pamela anderson there, but fan vote is fan vote, maybe it was becasue he's a DEI driver, maybe it's because alot of his busch series fans voted for him to be in? I think his mind is a little shaded on that part of his arguement. Otherwise, he makes a good point.

Sums up some of the reasons I stopped watching NASCAR. I'm glad I missed it. :thumbsup:

Fox uses NASCAR to promote their TV shows. PLus she and KidRock (are they still a couple), have been going to races for years.

So now my kid can't watch football or FranceCAR racing because of potential innuendoes? Whats next? Kissing bandits at a baseball game? Violent basketball players? It seems nowadays ya just can't escape anywhere without some kinda of garbage. Stockcar racing was the last refuge, ya just knew someone/something was gonna get it dirty.

And the National Anthem was butchered almost as bad as Rose Ann's rendition :(

well if you listen to the liberals in America, NASCAR has been terrible for years. Drinkin, smokin, bad language, fights (79 Daytona and other skuffles). NASCAR has a pardoned fellon.

Kids get far worse in public schools from their peers. Some parents just dont care or are too busy working two jobs to know who their kids hang out with. Keep your kids away from MTV if you want to keep them safe. Don;t let them play video shot-em up and killing games.

Condom ad's can be construed as teaching safe sex rather than abstinence to young viewers. Viagra howver does not promote sex, rather a life improvement for those with erectial disfunction. That's the reason, whether it makes sense or not, and it is not confined to NASCAR.
