I replaced the cam centering the crank line index between the teeth of the cam with the timing mark (looks like a shallow drill hole). When I pulled the rope the old style choke (thumb pull-Push) goes in and out which I figured as a intake valve timing problem.. Where did I go wrong? Or do I have the cam timed 180 out of sync.. :freak:

Do you happen to know the clearnce for the valves? How do you change clearance if is not enough? New Valve or slowly grind stem of valve to increase clearance?

im not sure of the specs on your motor but i was told the valve gets peaned over and you can lightly grind it to spec. im sure bugman will know the # you need. f-n-m

Thanks, I found it on another site, my intake and exhaust have a much smaller lash than what is called for at http://www.arcracing.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/Tech/spec1.htm?L+scstore+yhlp1753+1114273929
