I just bought a JL Willys "Speedy" and was thinking about trying some of your techniques to open the doors and trunk. I do have a question: How do you "finish" the insides of the doors? Do you just paint them to try to match? Can't wait to see this WIP as you go. :thumbsup: Jeff ill just open the doors only. the trunk area can be open but it is not worth the hassle it is way to thick to cut but it has been done buy a few people in the hw site thay ended up making a puter trunk lid for it or cutting a hood off a car and bent it into shape. as you can see i already made the hood for this one. interrior doors can be painted to match but i like using cloth material and if i do open the door ill probbly drop in working door handles before painting the doors. i made the mistake of not installing the door handles once and that was a mistake do to the bending of the handles it chipped the door real bad and had to start all over again making a new door. always try to save the origanal door new doors never fit like the old ones. seating is going to be the big issue on the 32 there is no room for hinges and seats you will eather have to find smaller seat or tuck a small bench seat in it or turn it into a rail car with one seat in the middle. there is a site on the web with a 32 done and a how too do it. i think it was called terrys school of customizing somthing like that... anyways very good site to visit if it's still there. i havent visited it in probbly 4 years. hope thi helps :wave: magoo_lc1 05-15-2005, 11:03 PM Man that all sounds hard!
