Hi guy's, This is probably a fruitless quest but I broke down and bought Polar Lights "Scorpion" with the intention of back lighting the the display screens in front of Picard & Data. Right off the bat I ran into a snag. Part #49 which is the clear cover that goes on the back starboard wing (blue on the box) was missing. I ordered it through Hobbylinc.com I contacted them & they told me they were a distributer only and couldn't break a kit. I contacted Playing Mantis (Polar Lights) 3 times now with no reply. I don't expect to have any luck finding it through a kit basher & the thing was only $10.00 in the first place but I've got about $5.00 worth of metalizer paint on it as well. Thae color match is perfect! If for any reason somebody is going to be kit bashing this model & wont need this piece I sure would appreciate it!! I plan to light it to the hilt but I havent decided if I'm going to use Data & Picard yet. Once again it's part#49, the glass on the rear wing (passenger side) & I'll pay a reasonable price for it. You never know, maybe Polar Lights will come through like Ertyl used to & send it to me if not, I'll just keep bugging then till I get an anwser. Send reply's to stargaze@pulsenet.com Thanks Eddie B.

Hi Guy's, Just wanted to let anyone know if you have any missing or blemmed parts they will send replacements - no questions asked. They are even going to send me an extra display screen so I can put a picture of a galaxy on clear styrene & backlight it. It looks real!

RC2 is super easy to work with!

Good to hear you are getting the replacement part, I have a chrome Jupiter 2 with a missing console from the lower deck. I don't like my chances of getting one now.

Regarding your Scorpion kit, did you stick with the paint plan? I've had a really good look at the DVD and I think the instructions are way wrong. The scenes in the film are so dark, it's hard to make out but the control panels and viewscreens looked like flat aluminium weathered with black, certainly not copper. The seats are not gunmetal, and the hull, well, that's where I'm stuck. It's not black, but Euro grey looks too green. What did you go with?

Cheers
