tim takes stock again!
this track has boylan written all over it!
pedano takes pro stock
trcuk mel goes 4 minutes for the win
12th scale will be ronny hames bean gets wrecked out by ronny, lol
russ smith in touring oval yet again! lol
dark cloud mike bean thanks to ronny!

if there was a most imporved racer it would be izzy hands down! he realy has impressed me with his hard work and has figured out the oval scene quickly..it was cool watching him take the truck win..

running tech i get to see the good and the bad.

how about brian roebuck going from 18th in 12th scale to 8th in the A main his last run? only to forget his personal transponder in the main! ouch!

JP is a machine at hobby world! he has that 30 lap thing down perfect!

or joe mama and his best friend john taking each other out on the first lap of the 12th main? glad they ride home seperate, lol.

henry taking home both 4 cell packs in the raffle? lucky dog!

big dog r/c not showing up to the largest race in his back yard? go figure?????

c-dog goes from winning the 19 turn A main at TQ to the BQ and winner of the B main?

tony padilla leading by 3 seconds in the A main of pro stock and having his motor fall apart the last 60 seconds of the race? ouch! he was ballistic with 6.8 laps in stock?

tom pedano doing just what was needed to win in 19 turn each race..he stepped it up every race...crazy fast.... ernie bucci running up front and taking this a bit mnore seriously..but still has a smile on his face..very cool stuff

dave butts turning in his personal best at hobby world ..when it counts i might add..

we had a concourse a raffle a spped run and how many different classes all done on one saturday? awesome! i think a parade of cars would have been neat?

what can be done to make 2006 even better? and don't say a tire truer! lol sorry ross i had to go there! ok start looking and posting in race # 3 thread you rubber heads.............................zooooooooooooooo ooooom zooooooooooom zooooooom

In the near future (like next Friday) TQ hobbies and focars have teamed up to provide ultra bird and stock motors for the series. this will be a long term commitment from TQ hobbies. next Friday they should have them in stock. 20.00 for stocks and 25.00 for 19 turn motors. this means I have 8 stock motors left..when there gone TQ hobbies will be the supplier for the series. if you need a 19 turn motor please contact TQ hobbies.I will bring a few of each to every race...strickland,race rock and the focar series mandate you run a purple motor. when mike runs out of them TQ will be the source.

Thats great! Now there is an actual source for the motors that are required. I know some guys were having a hard time locating the former motor supplier and they may have attributed to even more of the Jax locals who didnt run last weekend. Believe it or not several didnt allthough the entries were looked like they all did. I'm gonna buy a big magnum of champaign for the first 100 entry FOCAR race. Could it be next month? Stay tuned race fans.

i will neve understand why someone wouldn't race because they couldn't wait until friday to buy a motor? i always have a few with me at every race. now they can buy them ahead of time and have time to tune them. like i said i always have a few with me at every race. i cannot ask someone to run a motor they can't buy. now there will be no excuses.

once again TQ tim has gone the extra mile for the series! very cool

Awesome, no excuses!!

I think its always best to have more then a few motors to race in FOCAR..
As for tunning them it only takes 10 minutes to cut the commutator and
break-in the brushes!!

Then I put all my motors under my pillow at night for the speed fairy to visit them!!! LOL

race # 5 i will type up some things to be voted on for next year.
some things like

sportsman 19 turn
brushless
A mains run a "set" amount of laps instead of 4 minutes
list of tracks
batteries

i have allowed a brushless class all year long...only see 2 brushless cars? on top of that how do you set rules for all the different levels of brushless? some have the stock novak system..some have the mod novak brushless system...some have the lrp sphere system..do you all run together? or will there be 2 cars in every class? seems there are a few different levels of brushless out there? 3 different speeds?

please keep the ideas coming in.... hot rods, touring oval and break out are not filling up with entries. next year they will be gone. i'm trying very hard to have a class for the new racer and well it's not going to well. i always thought the "stock" class would have alot of entries? wrong! it looks like 19 turn and 12th scale dominate? go figure thanks bill

Kat: just a curious question would you say there are more or less of a turn out overall this year as oppose to the prior two??

Butts: =The weather looks like crap all week. And from what I have been reading and hearing it's gonna get worse. I don't think anyone will be racing this week at superior.

Here is an idea for guys who are novice etc....4 cell Novice...that just sounded too easy, and if anyone is too good...they move up. Its just so crazy it might work!

In my opinion Touring stock sounds like another Novice type class as well. Additionally who cares if the novice class does not "fill up" its not designed too is it?

UH WEATHER FORECAST LOOKS GREAT FOR SATURDAY! or should i say any given day in the summer in florida? there is not a single day that doesn't have chance of thunder showers and a 30% chance or better. this is typical summer weather in florida.

racing saturday is a gooooooooooo. if we get some rain we have lights!

also 74 entries was a focar record..last year we had over 60 entries once or twice. BUT we also had hurricanes.... i lost some racers do to not racing on carpet..but gained new racers because we race outside? go figure, lol. now some of the tracks we visit this year have a very strong local base of oval racers (hobby world, strickland, mtr) those races will have a few more entries because of there locals. TQ we got 50 hobby world 74 superior will fall between those 2 races.anytime we get over 50 is great! as word of mouth spreads we get a few new racers...if i mess up and we have a lousy race we lose some racers..make mike boylan mad and we lose 20 racers, lol. it's all about good racing with great people and having some fun to boot. this year the 1st 2 races went awesome! let's keep it going! see you all saturday!

and we do have a sportsman stock class??? very few entries??? it's like some guys don't want to run sportsman??? there are alot of days i feel out classed on the track..next year at the snowbirds i'm racing sportsman 19 turn....it has taken me 2 years to swallow my pride and figure out i'm no pro driver... pro is all relative to the field you enter into....i can't sniff 59 laps at the birds.....i admit it,lol.
