Boss says I've got to work. Barooose came out of the closet a few years ago. It's no suprise that he'll be there!! Barooose 05-06-2005, 10:33 PM I'm afraid not this weekend or next either. and it's killing me. But the rest of you guys have fun and rejoice in the fact that Grif won't be wreaking havoc upon your rides. Hahahaha. see ya. philb1 05-07-2005, 07:41 AM Geez, I want to be there! Will be up sometime this summer, have not run with Barooose in too long! wiscentral52 05-07-2005, 09:17 AM Cody and I will be there today. merich401 05-07-2005, 04:28 PM What compound tires and sizes do you run there in stock? I heard you run 3 L's and 1 R right rear why so much stagger? jashack79 05-07-2005, 05:15 PM Hi all I am new to this oval racing and was looking for some advice for my bolink legend car. This Baroose guy sounds like he is good so I was wondering if he could help me. I hear he is a legend. He is at least good with donuts. newbe Barooose 05-07-2005, 05:35 PM Philb1. Yeah, it's been way too long. Come on up for one of the Wick races or something this summer. Let me know when you're coming. Maybe we could get the Dude to come and we can lay the Malachi crunch on him.Hahaha. Jason, Jason, Jason. You could probably beat me with a legends car. Good to hear from ya. Are you going to do much racing this summer? Say yes. I'll bring the donuts. Bob Wright 05-07-2005, 05:52 PM What compound tires and sizes do you run there in stock? I heard you run 3 L's and 1 R right rear why so much stagger? RR Blue R net LR Green L Prolite RF Blue L net LF Blue L Prolite The stagger in the back gets the car turned off the corner better. Jason,Baroose is only a legend in his own mind.Hope to see you around this summer. Just got back from there about 8-10 guys practicing.Guess what,Corey's car looked really good.Old Man Hays was getting around pretty good too.And Sully was ah...Sully. Track temp was a lofty 81 degrees, but nobody was gatoring tires. jashack79 05-07-2005, 06:19 PM yeah im thinking about it, I am probably gonna put a ksg or a silva together haysreeling 05-07-2005, 07:48 PM ksg, or silva car hmmmm I think we have those in stock hehe. Hope to see you this summer Jason, theres lots of Sully jokes to be told.hehe Hays Jr jashack79 05-07-2005, 11:53 PM yeah I might save the silva car for carpet, I just needed some time to regroup, I have done a lot of different things over the winter and I bought a house, so I need sully to send his best "can" over for some work. JK I might need some stuff so I might give ya a call merich401 05-08-2005, 12:11 AM What is the difference in the net and prolite? hefty12 05-08-2005, 12:39 AM The difference between the net and the prolite is the net has a Kevlar net lining. The net will have a little less grip than the prolite. philb1 05-08-2005, 08:20 AM Barooose, trying to get a group together for a Wick trip. the Dude........... I only put 1 fender on him in Vinton, and he was practically invisible in Ohio....... Barooose 05-09-2005, 01:27 PM "Practically invisible in Ohio." L.O.L. Too Funny................ pmsimkins 05-09-2005, 01:40 PM Hey guys. Did anyone run their brushless cars in practice on Saturday? Bob, Hays? If you did what kind of lap times were you guys laying down and what gearing did you try? Which race day do you guys think we should try to do brushless. Tuesdays are tough for me, but I think I can make it and I know my dad and Dick Hooper will want to run Tuesdays. That will probably be the best day for BL? I'll also run some Saturdays but I'll probably either do 19t or run my 5800 bl motor with the 19t guys as long as they don't care too much. Pat burbs 05-09-2005, 04:30 PM I was out on sat, and sunday.. sunday was much better.. i was running a green machine 3 in my maverick.. it was actually my lathe motor. i havent gotten any new stocks yet.. anyway.. my 3rd practice run i had a few 7.2's and finished up around 7.4.. the car felt real good... but a slow motor and old packs prolly held it up a bit.. If the track is doing this well already, it should be fast early in the season.. cant wait ... this car is gonna rock at nats.. haysreeling 05-09-2005, 11:05 PM Pat I don't really care if you want to run in 19t with the 5800, but if theres a few guys that want to run 4300 brushless on saturdays, you might want to run with them so they have a class to run in. If your car is good, I actually think the 5800 is faster than 19turn??? idk I guess we'll see lol. The other thing is that at the wick races I think we should maybe keep them seperate. My real car is being fixed by a "temporarely" retired racer as we speak, so if my exhaust doesn't fall off again on the way up I'll be there saturday sometime before noon. Hays JR haysreeling 05-09-2005, 11:12 PM Pat last year Corey drove my dads car with the 4300 and ran 37/4:00. His car wasn't really that good at the time and didn't really mess with gearing, so I would say that a fast 38 is certainly possible, maybe sniffing 39???? idk Hays Jr triclone-dave 05-10-2005, 02:01 AM Will somebody tell Grif we are open Sat 8am to ? and Sun 12 to ? or untill Dave J cows come home.  pmsimkins 05-10-2005, 08:25 AM Thanks Hays, Yeah I wouldn't run with you guys at the Wick race. I know last year at regionals I ran a decent 40 with my 5800 motor with the 19turns. I think the gearing was way too low though so yeah I'd say the 5800 may have the potential to be faster. I'll probably just run regular 19turn on the Saturdays I do race. If there are a couple there with 4300s who want to run I'll run with them to make a class. I think 39 laps will be doable with the 4300. I'm guessing that when your dad tried it last year he was significantly undergeared. Just judging by how our indoor gearing went. Pat Bob Wright 05-10-2005, 07:10 PM Pat I plan on running the 5800 with the 19T guys also on Saturdays or if there is enough for 19T then I'll probably just run the 4300.Tuesdays I plan on running either 19T or stock because there probably won't be enough for BL. grif 05-10-2005, 08:30 PM Yea Dave!! I'll be there this saturday... around 8 am, I hope...?? So let me get this down, track opens at 8:00 am and bar opens at 9:00 am?? pmsimkins 05-10-2005, 10:01 PM Bob, I think Tuesdays will be the Brushless day not Saturday. I know Dick Hooper and my dad will run Tuesdays and probably only Tuesdays. I'm sure Hays will run both days and I think I will be to most every Tuesday, so I would planning on running the bl 4300 car on Tuesdays. That is what I was thinking at least. Pat Bob Wright 05-10-2005, 11:49 PM Tuesdays is actually better for me to run BL anyways because I won't get to the track until 5:30 or so. grif 05-10-2005, 11:55 PM Bob, what happened to the Escort?? Now it's a Focus?? Bob Wright 05-11-2005, 05:27 AM Bob, what happened to the Escort?? Now it's a Focus?? No,the Focus turned into an Escort. grif 05-11-2005, 10:01 PM C'mon Bob.. Let's find you a Beast like mine. You deserve it!! Danny B 05-15-2005, 09:48 PM Hey Guys, anyone looking for some 4300 brushless action? 18 4300 brushless cars at the first race at Storm Steel today(everyone ran it). TQ was 58 5:01.8... 19t 0 degree record is 59 5:02.9 Pretty close in speed and with a warmer track i'm sure the BL' s will be even quicker. Pretty sure we'll offer both 4300 and 5800 at our trophy race Labor Day weekend. P.S. I ran the Tri-clone handouts today and the set-ups between the two tracks are almost identical. Bob Wright 05-17-2005, 07:23 PM Danny I'm going to try to make it down a few times this summer. Weather looks promising for Maverick testing this weekend.Hope to see a big crowd on Saturday. grif 05-18-2005, 06:25 AM If saturday is nice this week, I'll be there running the maiden voyage on my hyperdrive. Maybe I'll line it up with Sully first time out?? Barooose 05-18-2005, 01:38 PM Yeah. I think saturday will be a good day to shake down the caps. I've been cooped up working on the house too long and beefing up my car to withstand the rigors of racing with "The Grif". Shouldn't have any trouble making minimum weight anymore. Hahahaha. wiscentral52 05-18-2005, 08:16 PM Anyone going to be at Tri-clone this Sunday? grif 05-18-2005, 10:59 PM I'm planning on this Saturday?? grif 05-19-2005, 01:31 PM Barooose... I didn't know you wanted to run the figure eight class with me??!! Barooose 05-19-2005, 01:37 PM Grif, you don't know the difference between OVAL and FIGURE 8. Hahaha. See you guys around 11:00 saturday. wiscentral52. I would imagine there will be some people there sunday but the weather looked a little iffy, as if the weather people really know. But saturday should be a pretty good crowd with clear weather. There is a phone number you can call on the Ticlone.net website and verify sunday if no one posts here. Good luck and enjoy. hock 05-19-2005, 01:38 PM I'm Trying To Go This Sunday, So I Am Also Watching The Weather triclone-dave 05-19-2005, 01:55 PM The track will be open on Sunday at 10:00am. We wouldn't be running as well as we are if it wasn't for all the help we get from everyone there!!!! Thanks very much!!! See you all in 2 weeks. burbs 05-22-2005, 10:20 PM great news.. did you get that t plate installed yet??? and if so did the car seem to work or feel any better?? later.. wiscentral52 05-22-2005, 10:41 PM didn't try t-plate yet. moved wing forward about 1/8 in. reset tweak, put a new spring in the left front. car was alot more stable down the staights, and the back end didn't want to slide out in the turns. Cody's lap times improved today from yesterday.Have to pick up a few more things this week for the car, after that we should be doing ok.I think we will run a few more weeks of practice, then in July i'll ask him if he wants to try running in a race. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
