i have a kt-600 mainboard and a 2800+ cpu and get the blue screen of death everytime i try to go from win98se to either of the two upgrades any ideas.

Your best bet is to not upgrade but start clean. Format the HD and install the upgrade. Even though it is an upgrade, as long as you have the original CD for SE you can upgrade. During the install it will ask for the original CD to be inserted.

the xp i have does not boot from dos or start up with cd rom with windows. the win 2000 i have will boot but even clean i get page fault something about a file called nostal.exe i think i spelled it wrong any ideas

google the file name and see if anything turns up.
