Fast, efficient, plenty of rip ... These motors are the real deal for oval racing!! (and sedan and off-road too) Congrats to the Silva's and O'Donnell for making a great product that will compete against anything out there.

Duane or Daryl, Who is selling them now? Might be interesting to try one next to a V2.

As has already been posted these motors are the real deal. The first weekend out with them with me tuning the motors I won and broke the TQ in the main.

I had 6 runs on the brushes in the main and they never got slower. I will try to keep people up dated as far as how many runs you can get on the 4-cell brush. I have never had an oval motor thats been this kind to the brushes and these brushes dont cost $14.

Good job guys

What brushes are these?

Daryl Silva

They are our own brush design and componds. This whole motor was designed from scratch.

No Stocker??????

JPHRacer
05-06-2005, 01:32 PM
Right now they are just Mod motors, but the Silvas are working on spec 19t and stock motors. Last I was told the 19t is 2-3 weeks away and the stock will be a little longer. The mod motors alone have been in development for over a year. The attention to detail that these guys have is amazing. They only want to put out the best product, nothing less.

Not for a while. We have to get caught up with our current backlog. We will advise when teardowns will be available.

Yes yes a nice pic of the motor would be great, do you have a timetable for your stocker?????

somebody to compete with the epic stuff would be great, I have heard rumors about a new reedy stocker but that was a year ago, it would be nice to see somebody come out with a stock motor that could compete with the epic stuff.

Geat job guys, love them side shocks, looking forward to your stocker.
Later, Joel

That would be her, in the pic the endbell is on 90 degrees off, but other then that its a production pic.

The tolerences on the motor are stupid close. The motor just looks a feels like its a one off custom built motor. Runs like one too, awsome rip and super effecient.

So do we assume this is a ROUND BRUSH style motor?

HEY Silva's, May 21st the South-West Tour Series is at HOTROD HOBBIES and it's rumored that Jim "LuckyDog" Silvay is making the trip from Arizona for this race. Hopefully we'll have a full showing of MODIFIED racers from Bakersfield/Visiallia. If you guys don't already have something else going on, we'd love to have you...

(I know you guys are a TON busy, with the RCXpo the same weekend and the REEDY race the following...)

JPH Racing
05-11-2005, 11:08 AM

JPHRacer

UD: Getting the Mod motors out is going to be the first priority. But they are working on a 19t motor.

Jeep: They are also working on a stock motor.

They are in production...I bought a 9x1 TC motor today out of the hobbyshop. I must say that I am very impressed with the quaility. Whats even better is I took it apart and put a handwound 19 turn arm in it and it is the BEST 19 turns I have ever seen on my dyno!! And thats with the stock Infinity brushes!!

Awsome work Checkpoint!!! Put me on the OEM list!! LOL

Charlie the hobbytown in concord had two the other day..

Eric,I've been running against a couple guy's out west that have been doing testing for duane the last 6 months or so,needless to say they have stepped up the hp just abit..We ran the cans this past weekend and i was impressed with com wear, how strong they finished, this was with the silver infinity brush..The 4 cell brush makes good hp as well.

Duane and Steve have been working countless hours getting these motors out. I hope that everyone has great results with them. I was very impressed at the Snowbirds. That was the first time we ever ran the motor in 4-cell and I was fast. I finished 6th even getting wreched off the track. Duane did a great job tunning that weekend. I can't wait to run them some more. We have found some new set-ups that should blow away the competition.
