:confused: help i have a briggs and straton 6 hp scotts self propelled lawn mower that wont run 6 years old. i went to get it ready for the season and what i didnt do was drain the oil before i tiped the machine on its side.ya i know what a dummy ha ha.well i changed the air filter and foam pad . changed the spark plug and took the carburator off and cleaned the bowl and float everything looks good but still wont turn over . it runs for a second or two but thats it. the only thing that i didnt do was to drain the fuel tank and put diffrent gas in the tank .. any answers for this small engine dummy ?

You need to pull the carb and clean it thoroughly with carb cleaner. It sounds like you have a clogged passage some where in the carb.

:) thanks for the advice i took the carburator off again gave it a good cleaning and fresh gas and we are up and running . gotta go cut my grass ...
