Is anyone else as interested as I am in getting the new Battlestar Galactica into a model kit?
Preferrably a little bigger than the one from the original series put out in the 80's and 90's.
How do we go about this and let the big companies know what we the consumer would like to buy?

I'd love to have one. I know there's a smaller resin kit due out soon, but a 12-18 inch long styrene kit would be great.
As far as I know, there are no plans for any styrene Galactica kits right now, but with the show going into a second season in June, anything's possible.

I'd love to have a new Galactica as well ... but I'd like it to be about the same size as the old Monogram kit.

I think Revell/Monogram still has the license for Galactica ... if in fact it falls under the same license. Maybe writing to them would yield some answers.

Found this on their Comapny info page:

Corporate Address:
Revell-Monogram, LLC
725 Landwehr Rd.
Northbrook, IL 60062
Consumer Affairs: 800-833-3570

Maybe, if enough of us write in they'll think about it.

Keep in mind Dean Milano.

Also, if enough people just show up at the company and knock on the doors....

Not to sound like an idiot ... (which sometimes I excell at) ... but who is Dean Milano?

He's a rep for Revell, I think. He's been around here before and several guys have emailed him directly. IIRC he's the one that said the Flying sub was being reissued.

Rumor is that Konami is readying a set of candy toys of ships from the new show...
Their classic BG toys are great.

Well, I'm afraid it's too late for that. A few years back, Revell decided several of us were "too old" and we got down-sized right out of a job.
They wanted fresh, new, young blood in the company.

Sounds like a bunch of vampires to me.

In case anybody missed it - Mobius is doing models from the new Battlestar Galactica. Look under Sci-Fi Modeling or Mobius.

The first kit will be a Viper Mk II.

Is there any news about Galactica or maybe Pegasus?

The Galactica is on his list, you will need to look for the forums under Sci-Fi Modeling or Mobius Models. He is considering 1 or 2 scales. So I do not misquote things please look for the forums.

DST should produce Galactica vehicles like in the Star Trek lines. Galactica, Pegasus, Colonial One, the Basestar and other ships in the fleet.
