Honestly, no way. I've seen it before and it went for near or around $100. $900!! I mean, it's all personal. If you have the extra money and want it, great, but thats a pretty steep price!

Funny! I've seen 1 of these go for 20$. Are we sure this thread isn't an advertisement by the seller?

I'm sure it is an ad by the seller.
The exact same post is on the scifi modelling board.
Why would a Japanese national require advice from an American board about a Japanese kit being sold in Japan?

You might be confusing this with the Imai model kit which can be found for $20-40. This model kit was not an official James Bond "Thunderball" tie-in.

You might also notice that the model being sold (not the one pictured above) is really a toy and that blue rectangular front and back is the part of the toy that keeps it stable while moving underwater. It's not a good model.

The toy on eBay is for serious collectors only and is probably over-priced. You know what they say, a collectable is only worth what a collector is willing to pay for it.

Arronax, you're right, I thought it was the Imai model.

Based on some of the starting bids I've seen and the "winning" price much of the stuff on Evilbay goes for, there would appear to be plenty of "collectors" out there with more money than brains. :freak:
