I read alot about providing each lane with individual power helps keep the power constant around the layout and prevents the surge of power when opponent derails. I'm currently working on a 4 lane Lifelike track 29'10" in track piece length. Thanks to lane crossovers and a figure 8 design each lane has 12 curves 9 inside and 3 banked outside that you can lean on, the straightaways are short. I started by buying my son A Lifelike set and then going to Ebay in frustration looking for parts (that's why I'm using Lifelike) I know Greg Braun makes power supply tracks that power individual lanes and accept Parma controllers. However I have enough Lifelike power tracks that I can make individual lane power tracks. This is essentially a fun track no serious events but I did want everything to be equal. I also found my old Aurora controllers. These are about twice the size and have 6" more cord length. I'm considering using the Lifelike track, Aurora controllers and a sodering iron to make individual lane power tracks. I will have to reverse the power direction on two of these track pieces. Will this work? Am I opening Pandora's box? Looking for advice from anyone w/ experience. Thanks!
