I have a b&s 6hp quantum push mower that has a governor problem. The motor will start and idle correctly-the governor will not let it rev up. any suggestions? thanks

If you look at the throttle linkages at the top of the carb there should be one with a spring attached to it. You need to bend this tab slightly to increase tension on the govenor spring and make the engine speed increase.
