Just a heads up!!!

BEFORE installing Tiger, make sure you've done all your firmware updates, and before you start the install, Repair the Permissions (using Disk Utility).

To be doubly safe, use a freee download called Carbon Copy Cloner and make a copy of your hard drive onto a spare external hard drive. This is a little overkill, but in some environments, and depending on what else you do with your mac (video edit, financial etc) you can truely go back, not just rebuild.

IF YOU USE:
a Cisco VPN client*
Filemaker Pro 6.n*
Adobe Fonts
Photoshop CS**
LaCie d2 Hard Drives#####
or have a Powerbook 17"***

Don't instal it until you have read thru the Apple Discussions about your particular system/software.

Unhook every non-apple item on your MAc when installing, and use carbon Copy Cloner to make a disk image you can reload if something happens.

* won't work - workaround/patch expected
** SOME instances of application not working
*** Many Problems right now with graphics drivers etc - wait for 10.4.1 or later
##### - unconnet during software upgrades of ANY type. then reboot THEN reconnect the external drives. keeping them attached causes the install to hose up the drive, making it unusable.

also, McAfee's Virex suite doesnt work with TigerOS.
Cisco should be releasing an update btw. They announced 30 days after the release of the OS they should have an update.
