'63 Corvette Pro Mod body designed for inline chassis. Constructive feedback appreciated. It is vacuum formed not a resin cast.

VERY nice!!!!! The lines look nice and sharp from what I can see in the pic.Cool race body.
I don't know much about vaccuum forming bodies, but after seeing this,I would sure like to learn.

I have never been a fan of vac-formed bodies, but this vette is very slick!
Wouldn't mind adding one to my stable.

I'm impressed too, I never thought a vaccum body could look like that.

Looks good,
Is the blower part of the body or seperate?

No the blower is not a part of the package. It is added to the photo for looks.
If offered in kit form, the bod would come with a separate rear panel which would require gluing on and sanding for fit. A chassis front end extension would need to be fabricated as well as a blower/supercharger or hood scoop added/pirated from a 1/64th diecast car. ( I won't advertise my site here as its not appropriate.)
Just wanted some feedback and thats what I have received. Thank you.....and yes, given the right material, vacuum forming can have excellent detail. The material is butylstyrene, a tougher version of polystyrene. Not as durable as polycarbonate but more durable than butryate and standard polystyrene. It definitely is not a "blob" body.
This is a "kit" type of body and scratchbuilding is part of the fun. Of course, it would be painted in a traditional prime and topcoat manner. I prefer this way of paint and detail over the clear body reverse painting method.
( But that's just me).

Looking at the pic I would have never thought vacuum formed. Great looking for sure. rr

hello-
That is one sweet piece!
I would agree with rr in saying it doesn't even look vacuformed. I can hardly wait to see the finished/detailed results.
Great work!
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers..

Yes, this car will be painted/topcoated in a "neon" orange with a full compliment of painting and decals 'n details.
I may even try a set of arched rainbow stripes along each side of the body...not exactly sure though at this point. I will take my time with this one.
