Triple Crown Summer Series

If you are interested in taking part in the running point series for the Futaba PCM 3PK radio this is you last opportunity to get in.

The competion in stock is tight, but there is room for a racers to shake-up the point standings.

19 Turn on the other hand is looking like Lambert could have it warped-up.

Looking forward to see who shows for Race #3 on July 16th.

Things are going to get interesting now.

Should be a good 3rd race, I know that Valentino will be making the trip.. so I got another guy to battle with for the lead.. should make for a good competitive race day... I'll bet that the TQ is within 1 second, and so will be the finish.. hopefully I'll be able to seal the deal this next series race... but if not, I have 2 more attempt's.. and there's no saying that guys that haven't made up yet will make it the rest of the series.. so I could be in far enough to close the deal as it is. it's gonna take 3 tq's and win's by the same driver to beat me out now I think.. not a likly situation, as I'm not sitting down to take that.. come too far already. Gonna have to keep the a game going.. no slacking... off to the basement to do some prep work now.

I'm doing the series this summer Ed because it was a way to get out of the hosue every few weekendas...the work on the hosue, with the wedding and everythign coming up.. I needed the break, and it's worked out good so far. Doing well, that's just been a bonus at this point.

Not sure what the schedule will be like come the fall, I'm gonna make a decision about going to florida this year for snowbirdsin september, and base what racing I do off that. I doubt that going every week will happen. I do hear rumors about a track opening in rocky hill CT, not so sure what the deal is with that place, who's doing it or whatnot, but from what I have heard, it's supposed to be indoor and carpet and flat... so it could be promising, as it'a only about 15 min. from my new house. Have to see what happens with that though, could be a dreamer that's trying to do it, I really don't have too many details.

John, it take 1.5 hours from auburn, On a good day, i'm wondering about beach traffic going by Hampton at 7 AM though?!?!?

Jason Lambert
07-09-2005, 07:53 AM
Probably will be beach traffic. that is the whole reaosn I usually go up on friday night, that and I won't have to get up at 3 am to go there.. stuff is already th4ere for the morning, etc.etc.

I'd leave and try to get there early, with the intent to get breakfast before yoyu go to the track, probably miss most of the traffic that way. my .02

Jason,

Racing should be great next weekend, I understand that more racers are coming for 19T, and that they are gunning for you. You may need some team blocking out there on the track next week or some enourmous horsepower to fight your way through.

Anchor

Jason Lambert
07-09-2005, 09:28 PM
Who knows... I'm not unbeatable that's for sure. Not gonna have any team blocking... don't have any team to block for me. Should be good though, nothing wrong with competition... makes finishing well that more worth while.

This whole series was a way for this guy to get out of the house a few weekends this summer, with the house remodeling, the wedding planning, car shows, drag racing when I can... it's been a relaxing break from alot of that. Performing well has been more of a bonus. I'm actually surprised that I have done as well as I have... thing is, it doesn't matter how many people go, if you win, you win, each race has the same value points wise... and with 2 drops, the series is still up in the air... the same guy will have to win all 3 of the last races to win I think, but that's very possible.

As well as I have done, With only Mike to really push me to do better, I don't know good, or how bad I really am running. I could still be fine with the runs I have done, maybe not... it is summer conditions, so the track is slower, but the record has still been within reach of what I have been doing so far, so it's really kinda hard to tell.

Can't really guage yourself with noone else on the track, and seeing how there's never been a really big race with every good racer for 200+ miles around in attendance, there' really no record to compare anyone's runs to really that is a good representation of what can be run on the track by a really killer car with perfect driving, a spotless run and top notch horsepower.

My luck... we're all probably 3+ laps off :P
