Who likes Thunderbrushes vs. Superbrushes vs. Wizzard brushes?? I've liked all three. My latest trial was Wizzard's. They were cheaper and seemed to work great. I used to be a diehard Thunder guy, but now am not sure the extra $$ is really worth it. What say you all? Dave

Hmmm. Of the three, I've only tried Thunderbrushes. They work great, but I'm cheap and I've been recycling the original Aurora brushes. I read on a bulletin board somehwere that you can hold one to a soldering iron and the oil and moisture and crap "boils" out of them, so I tried it... cool, but time-consuming to do each brush. So when the non-stick coating started peeling off our George Foreman grill and we had to get a new one, I commissioned the old one for "brush rejuvenation duty"... as I rebuild Tjets, i'll collect maybe 10 or 12 pairs of cruddy brushes, then sit 'em all on the grill and plug it in. After a couple minutes they're all steaming and sizzling... "clean" them on an index card once they cool and voila, reconditioned Aurora brushes.

But you have me intrigued with the Wizzard ones. How much do they cost?

IMO, Wizzard brushes are far better than any other for Tjets. I've compared all types of available brushes on my track with TrikTrax lapcounter/timing system.

The results don't lie. Wizzard brushes ran cooler, with quicker lap times. No unusual comm wear, either.

Go with Wizzard. You won't regret it.

I'm cheaper then you ric........

I bought some brass rod,cut off wafers and polished them and made my own motor brushes down in the lab. Then I soldered them right to the part the rest on in the chassis
It worked ok,but it was a lot of work.Didn't do it for any other reason other then to see what would happen if I did it.I love messing around and trying out different ideas.

Back to our regularly scheduled topic.........

Last time I checked Wizzard's were 10 pair for $15.99. Not too bad. dm
