Mike, if you're running Wizzard cars you can also use ordinary staples for mounting lexan bodies if allowed. Whether you use staples or pins make sure you put a little kink in the middle (not at the tip) of the pin/staple so it fits tighter in the tube. I'm assuming that you know how to mount lexan bodies with the pins/tape sandwich technique (or staples/tape). Parachute tape is the best but packing tape works well too. Rabbit Racing probably stocks parachute tape. Lucky Bobs and Wizzard carry it too.

It's only my basement,so everything is allowed.I'll definetly try the staples. Not exactly sure how I would tape the bodies on tho.

Mike, here's the tape thing:

1) Remove any existing pins or staples.
2) Clean the inside and outside of your lexan body to remove any oil.
3) Cut two pieces of tape (any clear tape will work) wide enough to cover both pins (or staple) and a bit shorter than twice the height of the side of the body.
4) Lay the body on its back.
5) Apply the tape to the interior side of the body facing out so it covers the pin holes, leaving enough sticking up above the body to fold over such that it will cover the pins or staples on the outside - but don't stick it to the outside of the body yet.
6) Poke tiny holes through the tape where the pins go. I use a pushpin or pin drill.
7) Place the pins/staple in the holes from the outside so that they go through the holes. The head of the pins or back of the staple should be flush with the exterior side of the body.
8) Fold the extra tape that's sticking up down over the exterior side of the body so it's covering the pin heads or staple. Make sure the tape lays flat and you still fit through the tech block.

The body pins or staples are now sandwiched between tape which will keep them from falling out and reduce the wear and tear on the mounting holes. With regular tape or packing tape you may have to periodically renew the tape. With parachute tape the body will probably wear out before the tape does.

Again, with staples (regular garden variety office staples) you'll want to put a slight kink on the middle of each staple leg to keep it snug in the post hole. I've had excellent results using staples & tape on the Wizzard cars.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain that to me.Would have saved me some lost pins if I had known that earlier.

I'm gonna go try that one out right now. Thanks again!!!!!!
