How do I remove IE plug in and coolwww.search from my computer?
Spybot cant seem to keep them off.
I found a site that claimed to have a removal tool for IE plug in, but it crashed my computer, any advice?
Thanks!

That is a particularly bad piece of malware. First, did you give the MS Antispyware a try? Give the instructions at http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_cwsremoval.html a try if you did.

There is a variant of the Coolwebsearch trojan (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html#smartsearch) spreading that closes several anti-spyware apps when you try to open them.
If this is happening to you, download PepiMK's CoolWWWSearch.SmartKiller removal tool (http://www.safer-networking.org/files/delcwssk.zip) first and run it. After it does its job, CWShredder will run properly (as well Spybot S&D, Ad-aware and several anti-spyware forums).

Try http://www.safer-networking.org/files/delcwssk.zip

Then run http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe CW Shredder. =)

Worked well for some of my clients.

I've since installed webroot Spysweeper on my computer, am now having minimal problems.
