Big news for the CustomWorks race on June 25th.....

Stock and 19-Turn classes:
$250 to win, 100 for 2nd, 50 for 3rd, all the way to last place in the "A" is 25!!!
Also the top two finishers in the B main for both these classes will BUMP to the "A"!
The keep the show smooth, the B Mains will run first, then other mains, then the A's

Plus this year, Nitro Sprint cars will be racing as well. Other classes include Sportsman (novice) and Spec Stock (spec motor, batt, brush) which will race for 1st thru 3rd place trophys.

ALL Entries are $25! There will be first come/first serve covered pits for roughly 40 racers, it is suggested to bring a table, chair and extension cord. Trailers/Campers are welcome but please bring your own power. There will be a BBQ on site and fast food joints are within a mile of the track as well as the hotels.

is the track asphalt or concrete, do you run caps or foams?

Asphalt Foams. Its one of the best asphalt tracks I've ever run on, its worth the trip, and every year they make improvments that make it even better.

Opening Day will be Saturday Apr. 30th. Track will be open all day with racing Saturday night.

Paul, are you guys going to run rubber tires on the nitro's?

Jim, haven't gotten a chance to try anything yet. We would like to run rubber but not sure if they will hold up. Going to try some gas foam to see how it holds upPaul

Im gonna try to be there most of the day to get my cars tuned in. Cant wait to start turnin laps again.

Man the weather not looking to good just as well that way we can get all te parts I ordered on-line that our well stocked hobby shop did not have. :wave:

Only 2 days to go before the start of another season. Just hope the weather man helps us out a little.

The race on the 30th has been rained out. We will be racing next weekend on Sat May 7. At 7:00PM.

The Sportsman gear rule is a 116t spur gear and 35,36,37 pinions

It sure was fun to be back on the asphalt, Seaford really is one of the best tracks on the east coast. The track was as smooth as ever and the new lights in the tech and drivers stand area are nice. The state race is really going to be awesome.

I was wondering What does the center spring do for the cars handeling? And what does adjusting the king pan up and down do?

I was wondering What does the center spring do for the cars handeling?

Typically a softer spring will tighten the car = more forward bite (rear traction), car will turn less.

A harder spring will loosen the car = less forward bite (rear traction), car will turn (pivot) harder.

The key is to find the right balance. I try and go as stiff as possible until the car is breaking free then I go back one rate (1 lb).

Racing this Saturday night. Should be a good practice night for the upcoming State Championships June 25th. With the Nascar race in Dover should have a lot of visitors this weekend.

I plan on making the trip for the 25th. I was just wondering if I could get a good idea on tires for 4c stock, and what bodies seem to be working best, and baseline setup. Any help would be great!!! Hope to see you on the 25th.

Tires for Seaford are purple foams. And the protoform chevy body seems to do real well. Im not sure of a setup for 4 cell but you could ask any one who races 4 cell and they would be willing to help.

purple is the best maybe a double purple front and the chevy HD body or the Dodge MD body is working.
