Does anyone know if Revell plans on re-releasing BG models?

Now would be a good time considering the new show is HOT!

Anyone know the status of the BG license?

Supposedly the late 90s re-pop didn't do that well, as far as I know they still have it though.

Yeah, but the originals and the re-pops have been selling like hotcakes on Evilbay, and that was before the new series aired. Sure, the sales most likely wouldn't be astronomical, but re-pops would probably do better now than they did then.

I remember crying for what seemed like a week straight cause my parents wouldn't get that battlestar kit for me in the late 70's ... and not talking to them for about a month afterword.

I finally got one in the 90's when they re-popped it ... and the basestar too. I wound up less than impressed. I guess it's a descent framework to build on though.

If they do produce Battlestar Galactica models again, I really hope they re-engineer the molds to something more accurate in relation to the original 70's designs, and I hope they do the new 2003 versions as well.

I'd love to have both the old and new Galactica in the same scale side by side.

The Basestar was fairly accurate. It's just not that interesting to look at :)

The Cylon fighter was pretty good too.

No on the re-release, and last I heard they still have the license.

Yeah, good enough for Universal Studios to use a few of them in the last episode of the original series!
