A while back a few folks mentioned that the ESSO Peugeot was one of the more desirable Tomy GTP cars. For some reason these are now relatively easy to find in the $25-$30 price range. Every once in a while a hard to find Tomy car will suddenly hit the market in quantity. I've heard that it has to do with one of the distributors gradually peeling back through layers of inventory. It's happened over the past few years with the Castrol Jaguar GTP, the Kenwood Porsche GTP, and the blue & white Minolta Toyota GTP.
Still waiting on the Taka Q Toyota GTP..........

Thanks for the tip, that's a fun car to run. Stock, it sits VERY high, like a monster truck GTP, but takes well to lowering.

I seem to recall one livery was more difficult to find than the other #44 vs. 45 I think and I know I have the more common one already, but can't recall which number it is and my stuff is still packed away in storage after 3 years !!

The #45 is the more expensive one.

I noticed the jacked up back end and thought I didn't get the body clip on right but that's just the way it is. It is a #45. I noticed the packaging has an Australian distributor listed on it.

Old photo, but I think it shows the clip-lowering effect pretty well...

Slot Car World has them. They are not in their HO section but they are in the "Latest News" section. Scroll all the way down to near the bottom and click on "MARCH-APRIL 2005 NEWS HERE" and there they are. You will have to call for a price.
