Anyone ever see a diecast or custom resin of this version El Camino? Would like to see some of these running around my track. Thanks, rr

No, but our minister has a 1:1 that's for sale. It looks like the one in the picture! Has a 305 & loud pipes. He has a hot rod heart.

I have the same Majorette. Got it new for my kid for Christmas maybe 3 or 4 years ago... the local Odd-Lot type store was blowing out lots of Majorettes. Mine came with a boat and trailer. hey Claus, was it the right length for LWB Tjet? I can try and find my kid's if you need info...

Hi Rick,

no need for you to dig thru your childrensī toy box - have mine (the car! :freak: ) sitting right here in front of me (bought her without any trailer, but the hook is there)!

I bought the diecast with the intention of making a custom cruiser some time before I started tinkering with resin, but as the wheelbase is way too long for a T-Jet I put it aside into one of my "far future project" boxes.

Now that I took a closer look at her I found out it would be a tight fit for a LWB Tyco pan chassis (at least the wheel base is perfect)!

Hmmm - maybe itīs time for casting a magnet car body again...? Some spare tires on the bed plus a nice trailer and youīd have a cool race transporter...? :hat:

Iīll Dremel the rivets later and let you know if itīs gonna work!

CU,

Claus

I just Dremeled the front rivet out of the diecast chassis, fetched a Tyco X2 pan chassis and:

Perfect!

Now all that has to be done is adding the rear bumper of the dieacst chassis as well as the stepside panels - oh, well, and the mounting clips. To be honest these mounting devices are whatīs keeping me from casting more magnet car bodies... ;-)

Have a nice Sunday, guys! Think I have to get back to my work bench now...
