The "It Never Fails" Department: Just as I was talking about our server being on-line for over 365 days in a row we were forced to do a security update to the operating system. While it was planned downtime, it did require a reboot to put the changes into place. Most never noticed because we were off-line less then 5 minutes.

In the next week or two we will also have an additional 10 minute or so downtime as we physically switch to new sever hardware. During this switch it may be that we do lose a few minutes of posting from the forums. While we would like to avoid this if possible, we can’t get around it and avoid a longer period of being off-line. We feel the trade off is worth the possible few minutes loss.

For those with PDA or cell phones that can access the Internet you can now view and post messages on HobbyTalk using our special PDA layout! All you have to do is point your cell phone or PDA to HobbyTalk, we will detect that you are accessing using a handheld device and switch you to a custom PDA version of HobbyTalk. Don’t fear, once you come back using your regular computer all will be back as it was.
