Though this may make a good xmass tree ornament if I can find a better LED to use that spreads the light out in more directions http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/GoodwrenchIntimidator3/MVC-878F.jpg

joez870 04-09-2005, 03:22 PM Now the exray cars are cool. :)
Mind if I try it myself?
GoodwrenchIntim 04-09-2005, 03:30 PM go for it :D they are very cool looking, brittle but cool :D

GoodwrenchIntim 04-09-2005, 07:36 PM what is this future i keep heaing about furnature polish?
mrwillysgasser 04-09-2005, 08:05 PM what is this future i keep heaing about furnature polish?floor polish  dip it ,spray it out of your airbrush ,put it on with a Q-tip. look in the older Slot Car Modeling/Customizing (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/forumdisplay.php?f=114) pages for a bunch of posts about it .
ParkRNDL 04-09-2005, 09:05 PM What he said. Future is a great, easy to use clearcoat. I just dip stuff in it... you'll get a little run or buildup at the bottom of the body when you first take it out, just touch it with a paper towel while it's wet.

sethndaddy 04-09-2005, 10:29 PM Future is the bomb for slot cars, great for polishing up old worn looking cars, great for sealing in decals, and believe it or not, its by far the best floor wax you'll find anywhere. try it.
GoodwrenchIntim 04-10-2005, 09:08 AM  I got some at wally world last night, thanks for the tip
roadrner 04-10-2005, 06:01 PM   rr
boss9 04-10-2005, 11:03 PM Hey Kev-
The invisible mans car! I love it!
Ok, I guess it could be Wonder Womans asphalt ride. After all she has that invisible jet!
That's a neat trick--I always like something off, or out of the ordinary like that!
A question-- Would that be the same resin used to make windshields?
I know what to call it! ;)
"THE EMPORER"S NEW SLOT"
Cheers, Mate!
GoodwrenchIntim 04-10-2005, 11:16 PM The clear resin is from "castin' craft " clear, should be able to find it at a local arts an crafts store, thats where i got mine ( Micheal's maybe, I forget), But extreemly brittle, dropped a big cutting knife(while makin dinner) on the lumina an broke it in half :(:(, got to cast anouther now, maybey clear VW camper as well :D
jeauxcwails 04-11-2005, 01:28 AM Something you might try - cast into the car a couple of fiberoptic strands from one of those small lamps that have about 200 strands of plastic hair looking stuff sticking out everywhere - then graft the end of the strands to a Christmas Tree light. Ought to light the body up more than just the LED. (?)
joez870 04-11-2005, 08:15 AM Now fiber-optics is a SLICK idea!, Slosh a skin coat, superglue the strands along the bodylines & trimlines, around windows ect....then slosh in another skin! How cool is that!
Btw, if you are casting these bodies in clear, are you going to do the glass as solid? LOL....ok...now drop one onto one of Dragulas clear afx chassis.:)
you know, if you found the right gear, you could power it off the rails too..:)
:remember the tv show AutoMan? (computer-generated guy) OMG!

LMAO HEY you been to my house :O LOL JK I got one of those lamps you speak of LMAO, That is the only reason I still have it was cause i wanted the fiber optics, it would be good for making tail lights an headlights, but to get the car to "Glow" as I want it to, I dont think fiber optic would work, but I am thinking one of the R.C. car Neon lights would realy work well, mabey ill pick one up an try it, they are battery opperated too :D, I'll have to find that old lamp an see how much light the fiber optics does put off out the sides
