Looking forward to seeing all the regular Hobby Talk members again! Also Slot Show in Fort Washington Pa just off the Turnpike on same day This Sunday. I wish they wouldn't schedule them both the same day as it will hurt the dealer count somewhat but I'll be going to the Fort Wah one anyway. Thanks, Keith ParkRNDL 04-09-2005, 12:49 PM hey Pom, is that the one just outside Philly? I'm gonna be there too... --rick Pomfish 04-09-2005, 01:00 PM hey Pom, is that the one just outside Philly? I went to the Philly thing, It was Held in a Phone Booth :) Good thing it was a nice day, because it was pretty much a waste of time/gas. I think I counted 9 dealers in the Smallest room I have ever been in. Could not move without being in someones way or vice-versa. Definetly not good for business as it was hard to talk to dealers or look at cars. Anyway, bought 2 sets of Drag tires for the Specialty chassis and one magnet car. Then came home and raced with my Freind John with 1/32 and HO scale cars for a few hours, so good day overall. Thanks, Keith joez870 04-10-2005, 08:21 PM Hey, Pom, Any day spent with slots is not a waste of time, eh? :) ParkRNDL 04-11-2005, 09:08 AM yeah, I was disappointed that it was so small too... I talked to the guy who hosts the show, Joe Bodnarchuk, and it seems some vendors backed out on him... --rick Gear Head 04-11-2005, 10:41 AM Long Island show was a little smaller than usual but as stated a day with slots is always a good day! It's great being able to chew the fat with the boys pick up some goodies and not even have to leave the island. Thank you to those that made it happen. Jason nick danger 04-11-2005, 03:15 PM I set up at the Philly area show several times in the past several years. It seemed to me that attendance dropped off with each show. Now that the cost for a table has risen to $40.00, plus travel time, gas, etc., it really isn't worth attending. If I want to sell anything, Ebay has always been good to me! I think Ebay and the on-line vendors have made it easy to buy anything you need from the comfort of your chair! NICK DANGER sethndaddy 04-11-2005, 03:33 PM I like the Parsippany, NJ show. But I was totally blown away when I attended a train show a few months ago.........Holy Crap, there was vendors on top of vendors, most where guys selling off some of their collections, but I couldn't believe it, over one hundred vendors, easily. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
