I've been waiting for this one for a long time. "Danger UXB" is an excellent WWII drama about the bomb disposal units (UXB = Unexploded Bomb)operating in England. Not only is it well written and acted but the Producers got access to the actual hardware used by those units. So not only do you have first-class entertainment but you also see how these units tools grew more sophisticated as the war progressed. No fake looking props in this show, they use the real thing. The characters are not "safe" either, they get killed so as you watch the show you never know when one of the bombs is going to go off. Some of those scenes still make me jump, eventhough I already know what is going to happen.
The DVD seems to my untrained eye to be an excellent transfer too. There is only one "extra", a documentary on real bomb disposal units in the US and the UK. It was an episode of a cable show called "Suicide Missions". It is interesting but I wish they had included some material about the making of the show. If you like tight WWII drama, check this one out.
