jmracing 04-17-2005, 08:41 AM Chad was taliking about moving his trophy races to saturdays after his(may 15th)summer series race.this would include the rest of the summer series events and his fall trophy race.We were throwing around the idea of staring the races at say 5pm on sat.that leaves everyones sundays free.any thoughts on this?
TEAMHAWHAW 04-17-2005, 09:18 AM It' May 15th, first Summer Series Race.
Chad
jmracing 04-17-2005, 09:26 AM ooooops sorry i fixed it
jmracing 04-18-2005, 08:24 PM so who can make the may 15th race and does anyone think moving these series races to saturdays is a good idea?Chad would like to hear your comments on this.
jmracing 04-19-2005, 10:16 PM Clayton Jennings call me asap
oldtimer 04-19-2005, 10:31 PM Before you go and move anything around i would check with the three outher tracks that run all there big races on sat just my 2 cent's. thank Kenny B
TEAMHAWHAW 04-20-2005, 11:19 AM Kenny- That is a good point. I am just playing with the idea. If a Saturday night race is easier for people to make. I'm checking with other tracks too. I want to get a series started. Like the ORL, we need that around here. I don't want to schedule races on top of others. Working with other tracks is my focus. The race on May 15 will stay. I am just looking to the future. I posted the dates on the website last year, I still had conflicts. I changed dates... the ROAR Regional, to help out racers. I'm trying to see what works. Please don't think this is directed twords you. This is a little vent :freak: on my part. I'm laying it out to all the racers.

TEAMHAWHAW 04-22-2005, 10:59 AM Bill- The Sunday thing will work better. I'll see you next weekend. Maybe some others will come out of the woodwork. I'll try to snag them this weekend

jmracing 05-09-2005, 09:06 PM besides for sunday what day or days would be a good choice for Chad to think about to help people who cant make sundays.I think they run the the big track on fridays thru the summer so keep that in mind.
jmracing 05-10-2005, 08:43 PM I talked to chad at K/N today and all i can say is why cant people run his track more often.he asked people whos coming to races and gets hardly no response.i see alot of regulars from k/n visit other tracks in the northeast but other seems racers from other tracks dont visit this track. If the summer series and sunday racing doesnt pick up i wouldnt be surprised to see a big building with NO!! track in it for rent. With madness, barre, maximus marshalls, glens falls and a few more i cant remember,K/N is the only and largest banked track around and if we the racers dont pick it up its probably gonna be gone and my feeling is the winterblast of 2005 may have been the last.remember he offered to put his summer series on saturdays but alot of people said sundays better and with his summer series dates posted another northeast track went to saturdays and even though chad spaced his out at least 4-6 weeks that track still ended up putting his series the SAME weekend.
I am from Maximus and i try to make chads races and i will make the summer series but I can't make the first one.John I never seen you at Maximus. but there are a lot of K/N drivers that go to Maximus. I think the only race i mist in 2005 was the winter blast and there were a few more from maximus that made the races there.you should ck before pointing fingers
jmracing 05-11-2005, 12:37 AM Ed i'm not pointing fingers,i see who comes to K/N when i can get there and very seldom is there alot of guys from the north.i just started getting weekends off so i can try to go to other tracks, plus i dont race i'm breaking my 11 yr old into this HOBBY.Chad will tell you if i cant make a race i try to go up on off nights and make purchases that help him.and i would've liked to make that race on the 24th but that was my wife and sons birthday and they will always come first before racing.Ed what i'm saying is talk to Chad and you'll see why i think the blast of 2005 may have been 1 of the last.ps look what happened to swansea and all the tracks that came and went.
ovalrc 05-11-2005, 08:36 AM There used to be a time when outsiders came to K&N because they were willing to try to compete with the locals because it was a great accomplishment to even make the A main, never mind win it. Racers from as far away as California knew of K&N and how tough the competition was, and they looked forward to taking their shot a it. The locals at K&N will always have an advantage over new comers just because of how hard it is to get around it fast. The last 10 years or so this has not been so, instead of racers coming in to try their best, they choose to stay at their home track where they feel more competitive. We have discussed before that going from a banked track such as K&N to a flat track is much easier than for a flat track racer to come to a banked track. This has been proved numerous times with K&N racers going to other tracks only to TQ and win A mains. We need to get outside racers to once again to be willing to try somewhere new just as many of us from K&N do. You will only get a percentage of racers to travel some, but right now we aren't getting as many coming in as are going out. Now my fingers are getting tired, I hope I got my point across. Bill B
TEAMHAWHAW 05-11-2005, 10:31 AM I hope to see you all on Sunday. If the weather gets warmer between now and Sunday, expect the bite of the track to be close to your winter set-up. If not I would look for the car to have a slight push.

The one reason i still go to k/n when i can. When i first started racing I went to K/N and ted came up to me and ask if he could help.he work on my car for 3 weeks .still didn't help my driving . K/n is a fun track to race at.thats way i make almost all of his trophy races.and the racers there are great you too bill LOL
